Arjun 28th April 2013 Written Episode

Elite engineering college.Students are milling about waiting to see the list of people who made it into the college. A group of young boys walk in & three of them are bugging a fourth one for a treat.The boy Rahul asks them to wait for him to see if he has gotten admission or not.He walks over to the notice board, looks for his name & becomes disturbed.He returns to his group.They assume he hasn’t made it & console him asking him to try again.Rahul says he isnt worried because he has failed, its only that he hasn’t got the money for a treat. Rahul has been admitted into the prestigious college & the friends cheer for him.They leave to celebrate.

Rahul bumps into another sad & dejected looking student & asks him if he cleared the entrance.The boy simply stares back & Rahul consoles him & asks to try again & leaves.

Rahul informs of his passing to someone called Shazia on the phone & says now her bhaijaan shouldnt have any problem with him & her.

He enters into his flat which he shares with two other boys & finds one of the boy Vikki drinking & smoking dope with a bunch of guys.He doesn’t like it & asks them to stop.The friends are pissed & leave & the roomie starts a fight with Rahul in the end threathening him with death.Vikki leaves in a huff from the flat.

Next day morning as Rahul stands in front of the idol to do pooja an arrow comes through the window & pierces his throat.Rahul dies a painful death.His other roomie finds his dead body & calls the police.

ETF Office.Shree informs Chotu that Rathore has been called away to Delhi & they would temporarily be led by “Samjhe ya samjhaoon”.Chotu looks worried & says they should keep the man in good humour by ordering his favourite cutting chai.Shree has already done that & just as the tea & Arjun are arriving together Sakshi knocks off the tea glass to the floor.She apologises but Arjun stares at her irritatedly.

Aisha informs them of Rahul’s death.ETF leaves to investigate.

At Rahul’s flat Arjun interrogates the room mate & is informed about the fight between Vikki & Rahul. Arjun scans the crime scene notices scaffolding outside the windows where the building painting works are carried out.Aisha joins him at the window & both discuss how the murder could have committed.Aisha goes downstairs & enquires with the painters if anyone got onto the wooden planks.They say nobody went on the planks as they haven’t started work yet.Aisha comes back & informs Arjun.

Arjun then notices a window right across from the flat & wonders if the arrow could have come from there.He leaves with Sakshi & Shree to enquire.The house belongs to one Firoz Khan.He is informed of their neighbour’s death & his sister starts howling hearing that.ETF is surprised.Arjun checks out the window of the room which looks over Rahul’s flat.Firoz protests at being suspected but Arjun stares him down.He asks to interview his sister.She is none other than Shazia who Rahul was speaking to on the phone.She has been seeing him which was not approved by Firoz & he had threatened to kill both of them if they didnt stop meeting each other.Firoz says it was an empty threat to end their relationship.Shree is ordered to search the house but nothing is found.ETF goes back to Rahul’s flat.

Vikki barges in & is shocked to find Rahul dead.The room mate points him out to ETF & he is hauled off to the office.

Arjun interrogates him at length but nothing is discovered.His phone has been ringing incessantly by calls from some Alpha Bhai.Arjun lets him go & orders Shree & Chotu to follow him.Chotu & Shree stalk him while he arranges to meet Alpha Bhai.Just as he climbs on the pillion seat of the bike driven by Alpha he spots Shree & Chotu & runs off.Alpha too kicks off his bike & escapes.Shree informs Arjun of Alpha’s escape.There is superb bike chase thru the busy city streets.Arjun tacles & gets hold of Alpha.He admits to being a drug peddler & selling drugs to Vikki. He says he was with Vikki all morning & Vikki gets his alibi.Both are hauled off to the office on drug charges.

Firoz is called to the interview room & interrogated by Arjun at length. It is revealed that Firoz has won prizes for archery.Aisha signals for Arjun to come out of the interview room.She shows him the arrow that killed Rahul saying the tip of the arrow is made by a beer can metal & the tail end has a small string tied to it. Arjun sets up an archery shooting board at the office & aims an arrow to check for trajectory.He shoots it straight at the spot & everyone is impressed by it.They discuss the physics of arrow shooting in detail & deduce that the arrow could not have come from Firoz’s house.Firoz too is let off.Arjun says the answers are at Rahul’s flat & they should go there.Chotu & Shree shares a bromance moment as Shree teases Chotu’s lack of physics knowledge.

At Rahul’s flat Sakshi makes Arjun repeat about why Firoz could not have killed Rahul & admires him as he speaks.

Arjun gets on the scafolding and finds lots of evidence about how the crime was committed.It is deduced that the arrow was tied to a nylon string which when melted by solar rays snapped & the arrow shot forward to finds its mark.There is a detailed physics class conducted by Arjun explaining how the crime was commited.

Sakshi about to be hit by the experimental arrow but Arjun saves her.There is a trip, fall & eyelock here.

Arjun orders CCTV camera footages of all the places visited by Rahul in the last one month,They notice a red capped man following Rahul everywhere.When the person follows Rahul into the library too Arjun concludes that its a student they are looking for as only students are allowed there.

A class exam is conducted by the college at the request of ETF & one of the questions is the exact specifications of the building in which Rahul is killed & the way he was killed. Only one student answers it correctly.The murderer is Gautam who had bumped into Rahul at the start of the episode.

Gautam is interrogated by Arjun.He reveals that he is from a poor family.His father has passed away & he was raised along with his sister alone by his mother.He wanted to be an engineer to help his family live a better life.Arjun asks him why Rahul.Gautam says he wanted to kill himself first so when he about to drink poison in the college bathroom he notices Rahul ID card which he had dropped when he had bumped into him.It has his address on it & thats when he decides to kill Rahul so that he could get his seat in the college.He wanted to become an engineer so he killed Rahul.Arjun is disgusted.He says education is meant to bring light into one’s life not darken it.

Arjun in his office.He notices a tea glass with apology from Sakshi.Arjun throws the note but drinks the tea.Sakshi is hiding outside his window & Arjun notices that too.Arjun simply shakes his head. Episode ends.
