Zee TV to re-visit the concept of Punar Vivah with a fresh story line?

Zee TV, the pioneer of TV entertainment in India will soon come up with a differentiated program with respect to fiction. The success of the show Punar Vivah as a brand has given rise to a thought wherein the channel feels that many new and fresh stories can be told by keeping the brand value of Punar Vivah in mind.

A reliable source from the industry tells us that Zee TV and the makers of Punar Vivah, Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd are working on a new story under the Punar Vivah brand name due to its success, relevance in contemporary times and relatability to viewers. This new show will not be termed as a Season 2, and will have nothing to do with the ongoing story line of Punar Vivah which has Gurmeet Choudhary and Kratika Sengar as leads. The present faces of the show Gurmeet and Kratika will not be part of the new show, is what we have got to hear.

Our source goes on to state that auditions are in full swing for this new project, and the channel is looking to cast few big names as part of the lead cast.

Sources suggest that Bidaai fame jodi Sara Khan and Angad Hasija have auditioned for the same.

We tried calling Producer Sumeet Mittal for a confirmation and sent him text messages, but did not receive any response even after repeated attempts.

The channel source too refused to comment on the above-said news.

    Noooo!!! Keep Punar Vivah how it is! We only want to see Gurmeet and Kratika in this show and not another story! Don’t end this show and the fabolous chemistry it had!

    WHAT IS PUNAR VIVAH WITHOUT GURMEET AS YASH AND KRATIKA AS AARTI! I certainly love the current story and concept I shall accept no other but Guru and kratz

      I agree with you all.
      Though all the casts performs good,yash(Gurmeet)& aarti(kratika)are the main reason to watch this serial.
      If they are going to change the track means, then they can change their title name.Its my opinion….
