Mrunal Thakur is gung-ho about her first play experience
We had earlier reported about the Iss Pyaar Ko Kyaa Naam Doon team being a part of a play ‘Do Fool Char Maali’ being directed by Utkarsha Naik’s husband Manoj Verma.
The only addition to the cast apart from the group of friends seen in Iss Pyaar happens to be the lead of Star Plus’ Mujhse Kuch Kehti … Yeh Khamoshiyaan, Mrunal Thakur. The actress who is currently a part of Star Plus’ Arjun has been rehearsing for this play for a while now, and it looks as though the damsel is already affected by health issues.
We hear that the actress was recently down with high fever. And the juggling act between her shoot for Arjun and for the rehearsals of her play where she plays the Sutradhar (narrator) along with Barun Sobti seems to be the reason for her ill-health.
We gave a call to Mrunal and she said, “Yes, it has been a bit difficult to handle things between the shoot and play, but I like it. There is so much to learn from the play and from the actors in it. In fact, I like going for the play rehearsals as it gives me the peace of mind one needs after 12 hours of shooting.”
When asked about her ill health she promptly replied, “Yes, the hectic schedules have affected my health. Having said this, I think I will cherish all of this later in life.”
Interestingly the actress has never seen a play or participated in one before this. “I never watched a play and that was also one of the reasons why I opted to be the sutradhar and not act in this play. However, after looking at the performances of the other actors in our play, I feel like being a part of it.”
The actress left for Dubai to perform the act on the 19th of this month (April 2013). Talking about managing her dates, Mrunal said, “Yes, it’s just a three day schedule, so I have got my off from Arjun.”
Lastly, talking about her co-host Barun Sobti she tells us, “Barun is nice to work with as he is very helpful. In fact he always helps me when I go wrong somewhere.”
We wish Mrunal all the luck with her first play.
