Chhan Chhan 17th April 2013 Written Episode
The Episode starts with Chhan Chhan telling Rugved (Chhan Chhan’s brother) that yesterday night Anarkali fell into a lake and she too jumped into the lake to save Anarkali. Rugved says it all happened and you did not tell me. Chhan Chhan says she did not wanted to disturb anyone. She says she is feeling sorry for Manav as he is allergic to dogs and he was sneezing all night.
Manav stops his car and suggests someone on the road to be friendly with dogs as they are man’s best friend. Maansi is shocked to see Manav touching the dog and she thinks what happened to him.
Maansi asks bhai are you fine. She has not seen him being friendly with a dog. He says I m fine, lets go.
Scene shifts to Chhan Chhan’s house:
Poorvi says that she had very less students, no one wantes to learn computers from her. Chhan Chhan’s mother pacifies her giving her encouragement. Chhan Chhan comes there and hears them talking. Chhan Chhan asks her mother what problem and what solution.
Chhan Chhan asks Poorvi what happened. Poorvi narrates her the whole Umaben’s story. Chhan Chhan feels sad.
Scene shifts to Umaben’s house:
Umaben is searching for some relative’s son. She says she wants the best girl. The match maker asks why she rejected the first proposal for Hitesh. Umaben says that it was the girl’s fault, not Umaben’s. The match maker leaves.
Manav and Maansi arrive and greet Umaben. She asks them how was the trip and he took care of Maansi.
Manav hears the sound of dogs. Manav thinks who has kept tyhe ringtone of dogs barking sound. Umaben says it might be Himanchu’s act. Umaben goes to bring food for Manav.
Chhan Chhan tells Poorvi that she did not know that Umaben will be doing such thing after she went to the camp. Chhan Chhan asks her whether she has confidence that she can run the computer classes. Poorvi says I don’t know what happened to me. I had full confidence, but when Umabe \n came, all the bad memories came into light. I was worried and felt like she was laughing on me. She says I don’t have confidence like you Chhan Chhan.
Chhan Chhan says we friedns are for each other, and till we are together, we don’t need to worry.
Chhan Chhan tries to help Poorvi. Chhan Chhan calls the students personally. Poorvi gets disheartened as no one would like to attend her computer classes. Chhan Chhan thinks of an idea.
Manav is angry on Himanshu as he has set the dog’s ringtone. Manav receives the call from a watchman thanking Chhan Chhan. Manav comes to know that his phone got exchanged with Chhan Chhan’s phone.
Manav tells the watchman that he will give her his message. Manav dials his won no. to talk to Chhan Chhan.
Umaben comes there with food. Manav says he has to call Himanshu. Umaben tells not to talk to Himanshu.
Umaben makes him eat pakodas.
Chhan Chhan thinks about Poorvi and how she lost her confidence. Chhan Chhan gets a call and she notices that it is not her phone. Chhan Chhan comes to know about Manav’s goodness. Chhan Chhan thinks about him as Manav was also thinking how good is Chhan Chhan.
Chhan Chhan thinks that this is Manav’s phone as it got exchanged. Chhan Chhan thinks due to this phone, she came to know Manav is sensitive too. They both try to call each other and they get busy tone. They think about each other.
Chhan Chhan thinks that she should first Poorvi’s problem. She says she is thinking about Poorvi.
She talks to her Dadi and asks her why the Lord is testing Poorvi. Dadi explains her.
Chhan Chhan goes to mandir to pray. Poorvi shows that Umaben is also present here. Chhan Chhan goes towards her and greets her.
Umaben gets shocked to see Chhan Chhan. Umaben taunts her. Chhan Chhan says she wanted to talk to her. Umaben keeps taunting at her. Chhan Chhan speaks well about Poorvi.
Poorvi stands there and listens. Chhan Chhan asks Umaben to understand as only she can bring back and start Poorvi’s classes. Umaben says what can I do. I have asked some questions and your friend could not answer her questions. Chhan Chhan says as everyone was asking together so she could not manage.
Umaben taunts Chhan chhan saying that why do people do such things which they cannot handle.
Umaben and Chhan chhan argues.
Chhan Chhan speaks with respect but Umaben is adamant. Two women come to Umaben and say that they follow her as an idol. Chhan Chhan gets an idea.
Chhan Chhan receives a call from Manav’s mother on Manav’s phone. Umaben is shocked to hear a girl’s voice on Manav’s number.

How did Chhanchhan happen to you?
It was very sudden. I was doing Jai Jag Janani Maa Durga in Baroda and I got a call but since I was very busy I didn’t pay much attention to it. When I reached Mumbai I got a call again for an audition and after 2 days I got a call that I was selected. It was a pleasant shock, as I didn’t think much about the audition. It was very sudden and unexpected, so it was a different experience.
Tell a bit about your role in Chhanchhan as Himanshu?
Himanshu is a very lively and funny character, he is a very happy go lucky guy. He never gets affected with what Umaben says, because he is very innocent so even when he is being taunted he feels like someone is caring for him. Himanshu is a very loving character, and as seen he even quickly falls in love with a girl. He is even seen making silly jokes, so you can basically say that the whole humor part of the show falls on him to keep the audience laughing. I am very happy to play Himanshu, since it is challenging in a way, because I have to show that he is so cute and innocent.
How different is Himanshu from Dheeraj?
They are very different. Himanshu is someone who is very innocent and cute, which I am not in real life. Himanshu doesn’t understand the real meaning behind words, while in reality I understand very quickly just by looking at the other person whether he/she likes me or not. Over all Himanshu is shown as to be very innocent, which I am not in reality. When I was told about Himanshu’s character, I would think how can anyone be so innocent?
How is the atmosphere on the sets of Chhanchhan?
It is real fun, everyone is in the same age group, so there are no issues or attitude problems. Even Sanaya Irani is very sweet, me and Srman Jain sit together and enjoy. Even though Farhan Khan is a newcomer I am enjoying working with him.
With whom do you bond the most on the sets?
I mostly shoot with Farhan so my bonding with Farhan has been very good and will continue being good. Due to the latest storyline of wild camp the bonding between me and Srman has been great as well, also because we know each other before the show. We all six couples during the wild camp have a great bonding.
You have been in the industry for some years now, how has the journey been?
I am very thankful to God that I have completed 7 years in this industry without any Godfather. I feel I have done good work but I haven’t got credit for it. I was a bit disappointed with the kind of reviews I got before doing this show. I did a show on Star One Annu Ki Ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah, and I had a good role in it, similar to Himanshu but with grey shades. By God’s grace I started this year on a very good note, I started with Jai Jag Janani Mai Durga and then got Chhanchhan. For the past 7 years in the industry I have seen a lot of ups and downs, which has been a learning process.
Out of all the shows you have done, which is the closest to your heart?
It is a very tricky question actually, but at present closest is Chhanchhan. Last year, I did Jamuna Paar which was very close to me as well, since I had a good performance based role of a guy who wants to become an actor. Earlier I did Ganesh Leela as Naradji, which gave me a lot fame, my dad used to call me Naradji. My dad was a bit old in his thinking and he knew of few people from the industry like Dheeraj Kumar, so he used to tell me why don’t you do a Dheeraj Kumar show. He didn’t know how everything works in the industry. So after all this happened I felt like dad gave me his blessings and all this happened for me.
What interests you other than acting?
Actually I don’t think apart from acting. I love cricket and I love dancing, so other than acting I either play cricket or party.
What kind of television shows do you watch?
I am a TV freak, so I watch everything, and keep a track of all the shows. I like shows like Qubool Hai, and in Bade Acche Laggte Hai on Sony TV I like the chemistry between Ram Kapoor and Saakshi Tanwar. On Star Plus I like Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara and Yeh Rishta Ka Kehlata Hai and sometime back I liked the Buddy Project on Channel V. I like shows which target youngsters and also love stories. I don’t like the rona-dhona shows

Sony Entertainment Television’s Chhanchhan (Optimystix Productions) garnered quite a lot of eye-balls even when it was in its pre-launch stage when the makers were making all efforts to cast the best of names opposite very popular Sanaya Irani. Though big names were auditioned, newbie Farhan Khan was chosen to be the love interest of Chhanchhan.
Well, that is past! So has Farhan matched the acting abilities that a male lead needs to have for the success of a show? Well, the answer as of now is a big ‘No’.
Our reliable source told us that the response that the makers have got pertaining to Farhan’s performance has not been impressive enough. The guy has been struggling to play his character, and to act opposite the mighty Sanaya seems a tough ask. And the result is that the actor might soon be replaced from the show.
Our source went on to say that few popular actors are in talks already for the above-said role.
However, when we contacted Producer Vipul Shah, he went on to rubbish the news saying, “It is true that Farhan is still learning the art as he is new to the TV scenario. However we have not reached a point where we need to replace him. We are presently auditioning for Saas Bina Sasural 2, and it might have happened that few popular names were given the lines of the lead guy in Chhanchhan to narrate. And I am sure the news has leaked from here that Farhan is getting replaced. It is not true at all.”
Well, we too hope Farhan gets enough time to prove his mettle as an actor! We will keep a tab for sure on further developments!!!

When you think of a birthday party, you immediately think of a person standing behind the birthday cake. In Chhanchhan (Optimystix) you will soon see a four legged furry creature celebrate its birthday instead. Our source informed us that one of Chhanchhan’s (Sanaya Irani) dogs (most probably Anarkali) will be having a birthday party soon.
Chhanchhan (Sanaya Irani) will be inviting both Manav (Farhan Khan) and Himanshu (Dheeraj Miglani) to her dog’s birthday party. Manav has decided to meet Chhanchhan anyway as they need to exchange the mobile phones which got swapped by mistake.
Meanwhile, Umaben (Supriya Pathak) is quite vexed as she sees her son Manav being spaced out. He suspects that he is falling in love. She is worried that he will elope with a girl just like her daughters-in-law’s Ranjana and Sanjana’s cousin brother has eloped. Manav tells his mom that he is attending a friend’s dog’s birthday party and doesn’t specify that she is attending a party thrown by Chhanchhan.
We contacted Farhan who said, “A dog’s birthday party is a radically different party. Manav is allergic to dogs. He is trying to overcome this though. In fact he will be getting friendly with the dogs. In real life I am a dog lover and I own a pet, Labrador. Umaben will be surprised as to how someone could have thrown a dog’s birthday party.”
As Manav is falling in love with Chhanchhan, he is also falling in love with her pets. After all, you can do almost anything for the woman you love…right???
