I am enjoying the popularity that Pavitra Rishta is giving me: Karan Sharma
One of the most important aspects of being an actor is about being famous. And if you are garnering your share of popularity, what more can you ask for…
Well, actor Karan Sharma better known as Sunny of Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta is very happy to be associated with this Balaji Telefilms show for this simple reason.
Karan is amazed at the kind of response that his character of Sunny has bagged, as he told us, “I was in my car when a little girl waved at me and like any other person I waved back at her. But the moment I got out of my car, she came running towards me and said, ‘Hi Sunny uncle’. It was surprising for I never expected a seven year old to recognize me.”
However, this is not the only incident that the actor has come across as he went on to add, “While I was at Dehradun for a wedding, a little boy offered me coffee. I did not know the boy, and I told him that I already had coffee. He insisted that I have the cup of coffee as he very well knew I loved coffee. That’s when I realised that I had shot for a scene in Pavitra Rishta where I had mentioned about my liking for coffee. Surprisingly, the kid happened to remember that.”
Karan went on to narrate another incident associated with his girlfriend on-screen, Teju (essayed by Mrinalini Tyagi). “I was shooting in Pune when a gang of twenty girls came up to me and asked me why was I there without Tejaswani. I had to tell them that my personal life was different from my on-screen and that she isn’t my girlfriend in real life (laughs).”
All said and done, Karan Sharma breathed a sigh of relief before telling us, “I am enjoying the popularity that Pavitra Rishta is giving me.”
Cheers, Karan!!!
