Trouble brews for the newly-wed Amita in Amita Ka Amit
No conflict, no story. A daily soap has both short term and long term clashes. Our source revealed to us that this week on Sony Entertainment Television’s Amita Ka Amit (Swastik Productions); a few hitches will crop up during the marriage ceremony of Amit (Nishad Vaidya) and Amita (Chandni Bhagwanani). The big fat marriage will be successfully completed nevertheless.
The real tamasha will however start after the nuptials. Amita will face new challenges in her life as a newly-wed bride. Some of her in-laws will come up with tricks to make life difficult for her.
During the wedding, Riya Bhabhi (Nidhi Tikoo) will try to create doubts in the minds of Amit and Amita. After the conjugal, she will create more complications for her.
Meenal Vijay Pendse who plays Amita’s mother-in-law Falguni informed us, “It is not that I will make life tough for her. It’s just that I hadn’t approved of her from the very beginning. Now that she is the new bride in the house, I will try to groom her to a refined lady.”
Karuna Pandey who plays Tina Chachi is to create misunderstandings after the wedding. We asked her as to what she thinks of a clichéd technique being used in the soap. Hasn’t making the new bride’s life miserable been done to death? She replied, “I know that you have already seen all this but this is what works on TV.”
In Sahara One’s Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga, Karuna is playing Charu who is also creating problems for the newly-wed bride Angana (Aleeza Khan). What does she think of herself playing two similar characters on two shows simultaneously? Karuna disagrees that the roles are similar. “Tina is a negative character but not Charu. Charu isn’t really making life difficult for Angana. It’s just that she is very attached to Saumya’s (Aamir Ali) kids as she brought them up like her own children. She simply fears that now the kids will get distanced from her.”
