Salman Khan, Lata Mangeshkar and Hema Malini magic in Star Guild Awards
Star Guild Awards which is all set to air on Star Plus promises to be an enthralling affair. Here are few snippets from the show.
Very soon the most celebrated Khan of Bollywood will be seen making his anchoring debut. Yes, you guessed it right; it’s none other than the dashing Salman Khan.
Salman Khan, for the very first time would be debuting as a host at Star Guild Awards.
Like the grace and panache in his movies, the same was visible in his hosting abilities. Hosting for the first time is surely a proud feeling; the handsome hunk agrees to his and said “My parents would be really proud of me, as I am debuting for the very first time as a host and nothing could be better than making them feel happy.”
Moving on, the fact that time and age does not affect talent was proved yet again. The singing sensation Lata Mangeshkar left the audience with teary eyes when she came on the stage of the awards.
This happened when the singing sensation was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award during the ceremony. Lata didi who was very touched didn’t have words to express what she was going through at that moment. It was when the host for the evening Salman Khan requested, the Singing sensation sang few lines from the very popular song ‘Naam Gum Jaayega’. As her voice reverberated in the entire studio the audience stood up and gave her standing ovation with teary eyes!
Finally, it was a night of confession as the dream girl, Hema Malini who came for the awards looking extremely ravishing in the white sari made an admission.
When Salman Khan asked beautiful Hema Malini to dance with him on her famous song from the movie where she wore skates, the actress who was very well appreciated for her double role in the movie Seeta aur Geeta felt really shy accepting the fact that she has still not learnt how to skate when actually Ramesh Sippy had asked her to do so years back during the making of Seeta aur Geeta! She acknowledged that she couldn’t get herself to learn it till date.
The awards ceremony will air on 24 March at 8pm on Star Plus.
