Monica Bedi gets the Best Female Debutant award at PTC Punjabi Film Awards

Monica Bedi who has been getting appreciation over her latest acting venture SaraswatiChandra on Star Plus has another feather in her cap. She has bagged the Best Female Debutant award at PTC Punjabi Film Awards for her outstanding performance in the Punjabi film Sirfire.

The awards which are considered to be the most coveted awards by the Punjabi film Industry were attended by industry’s top stars and legends like, Gurdas Mann, Neeru Bajwa, Jimmy Shergill, Mahie Gill, Sunny Deol, Minissha Lamba, Raveena Tondon; Satinder Sartaj, Amrinder Gill, Gippy Grewal, Preeti Sapru, Honey Singh, Jazzy B amongst others.

Monica Bedi who is blessed with pretty features was earlier seen in Bigg Boss and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa on Indian television and is currently in news for her grey shaded character as the main lead Gautam Rode’s mother in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s SaraswatiChandra. She manages to portray the character well and give her best to the serial.

As of now she is happy to have gone back to her Punjabi roots and excelling in a Punjabi film. When asked how happy she feels she says, “Totally… this is my year.”
