India’s Best Dramebaaz rules the reality roost…
Zee TV’s non-fiction show India’s Best Dramebaaz which launched last Saturday has zoomed right past the competition to rule the reality roost in it’s very first week with a robust opening of 3.5 TVR just one point short of the 3.6 TVR that the popular Filmfare Awards garnered. Audiences in Mumbai have responded with a whopping 4.2 TVR for the first episode that showcased the auditions in the city. Putting children in the age group of 5-12 years through a series of tasks and challenges, India’s Best Dramebaaz is a homegrown talent hunt show that will groom them as actors and test their creativity, spontaneity and acting ability. Following DID L’il Masters and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs, the successful opening of the show proves yet again that the channel understands children like no one else does!
The show has Vivek Oberoi, Anurag Basu and Sonali Bendre as the judges along with actors Rithvik Dhanjani and Ragini Khanna as hosts. It creates an atmosphere that makes kids crawl out of their shells and perform effortlessly. Over three months ago, Zee TV began its countrywide search for the 18 brightest, spunkiest, most mischievous and talented kids from across the country.
For the show, Zee TV’s talent scouts have conducted auditions in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, Patna, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Indore, Lucknow, Ranchi and Dehradun and the short-listed contestants are currently undergoing comprehensive workshops on honing their talent. The upcoming weekend features the excitement from the auditions of Ahmedabad on Saturday, 2nd March and Kolkata on Sunday, 3rd March.
