University of Mumbai felicitates Big B
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been felicitated with a special honour by the University of Mumbai for his achievements in the Hindi film industry.
“The University of Mumbai felicitates me, they give me huge amount of blessings and gratitude,” Amitabh wrote on his blog.
The 70-year-old is also surprised to hear that a part of the Commerce syllabus has been dedicated to him. However, he says it makes him feel embarrassed.
“The Commerce department tells me that I form a portion of their syllabus, teaching my phenomena to the students. They find it interesting enough for it to be a tool as a case study,” he said.
“I have never felt so embarrassed before… I shall acknowledge your affection, but to attribute all else to me and to give me that additional value is not something that I would endorse or accept,” he added.
Big B has been a part of showbiz for over four decades, throughout which he has entertained the masses through films. He entered the TV space in the year 2000 with the debut season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati”.
