- Vaani sees Keshav’s wife with sindoor on her forehead, outside the hospital.
- Sayali, Samar and Rajkumar wait with the Rajhans family at the hospital while Nimai’s body is taken in for postmortem.
- They attend Nimai’s funeral at Vaani’s house.
- The Panditji asks a male member of the family to perform the funeral rites.
- Rajkumar offers to do it, but Vaani declares that as Nimai’s mother she will perform his funeral rites.
