Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev 24th December 2012 Written Update

At Kailash:

Mom Dad and Me (Ganesh)..

Ma Parvati and Pita Shiva along with their little one sit and chat..
Gannu bhayya asks Mahadev which dish does he like the most.. Mahadev replies Kheer.
That to his Granny’s hand made one replies Parvati ma.

Gannu Bhayya asks how is it made, how does it look?
Parvati ma replies each of it.
The mice call Ganesha to play..

Gannu bhayya asks his mother that he wants to go out of Kailash.. to which Parvati ma replies that he cannot do that. Gannu bhayya asks why is that so?

Mahadev looks at Parvati ma as to what she would reply to there last born.
Parvati devi manages by saying that he had promised her that he would never leave her.
Gannu bhayya then says if she doesn’t permit him, he would never go.

Mata Parvati feels worried of her little one.. Mahadev then asks her to let him go.
Then she tells gannu bhayya to play with his friends and that he should come on time…
Also she gives him Modak as he gets hungry very often.

Shiva gets up from his seat and goes to her.
He says that it would have been impossible for them to stop their little one.
Mata Parvati agrees to this saying that where ever Ganesh goes that place becomes blessed.

Then as Mata Parvati says this she finds Mahadev having some vision of something.. on asked about it by her he replies that to sanctify the would Ganesh has taken birth, but to take off the attachments and desire that envelops the world. His devote Ghrushm needs him.
Mahadev narrates their story to Uma devi

Far in the south lived a Brhman Sudharm with his wife Sudey.. they where his great devotes, they acquired alll the happiness in the world except that of having a Child.

Sudey had guilt that she could not make Sudharm a father.. then she requested him to marry her younger sister Ghushma

So thus they married. Ghushma was Mahadev’s devote too, she was very sensitive by nature… She never would take on water till she payed to Mahadev.
But as time passed Sudharm had a spl place for Ghushma cause of her good nature, but Sudey started to feel envious of her sister… so much so that she forgot to give her prayers to him (Shiva).

Soon they where blessed with a son they named him as Sukarm (How many times will the name Sukarm is gonna be used!)
Sudey felt supper envious of her sister that she no longer could bear her being ignored…
When Sukarm grew..Sudhram married him to a nice girl.

But the life which Sudey wished was now Sudharm and Ghushma.

Sudey thought that if Sukarm is killed so will be the happiness of Sudharm and Ghrushma..
So she did as she thought.. she murdered Sukarm and threw his body in the well where Ghushma would immerse Shiv ling.

Since then Ghushma never even for a second stopped praying to him.. and now when her son’s last rites are going to be performed she is still in his praises.

The wife of Sukarm and his father Sudharm cry over his body and Sudey was tied to a rock for deeds.

When Sudharm goes and calls Ghushma for the last rites she says that she cannot stop the Shiv aradhna in the middle.

When the chants of Om Namah Sivaya she walks towards her son’s body..but she passes by her son’s body and moves towards the river water for Shiv aradhna.

Then Mahadev appears there.. She was engrossed in her prayers and others in lamenting over Sukarm’s death.

Shiva calla her…

He tells her that he saw many devotees but she even during her son’s death has unparalleled devotion for him.. which is a unmatched.
Mahadev asks her to wish for a boon.
She says that whoever has a vision of his has left with Zero wishes.

Shiva asks again for a boon and asures that Sudey will be punished for this deed.
Sudey then says that she deserves to be given death as her punishment.

Ghushma requests Mahadev to forgive her sister.. as she did not know the severity of the situation. It was all because of jealously..she requests Mahadev to destroy the envy in her sister.
Mahadev tells that to forgive someone is very difficult and that too in such situation is even more difficult, but who ever is his true devotes never have security of mercy.
Shiv tells that he is very pleased to see her mercifulness which is a sign of his true devotes.

Mahadev tells her.. that someone has come back.. to see what he meant they turn back and are shocked to find their son alive.

Then Sukarm gets up and feels overwhelmed to see Mahadev..
Shiva then takes off Sudey off the shackles… Sudey asks for forgiveness and accepts that she was envious and mislead off her path f devotion.

Mahadev again asks Ghushma to ask for a boon… Then Ghushma says.. like he has destroyed her pain and her sister’s envy similarly everyone’s sadness should be taken away and he shows them all the right path. Thus she wishes Mahadev to stay there.
Mahadev is very pleased to know the Ghushma has an insight and a vision of betterment of the world.
The world will forever remember her compassion and thus this place will be called as ‘Ghushmeshwar Jyotir ling’ Shiva then establishes a ling there.
The crowed is shouting praise of Mahadev ‘Mahadev ki Jai’
Voive over says

Since then his Jyori ling is very well known. It is situated at Maharashtra, Aurangabad. It is also called as Kumkumeshwar or Ghushmeshwar Jyotri ling.

Also it is one of the Jyotir ling in the 12 Jyotir lingas. The temple was established in 16th century by Chatrpati Shivaji Maharaj’s grandpa Maloji Rajay Bhosley and in 18th century Ahalya bai holkar who was the queen of Indore.
