Neha Janpandit wants to shed the image of a sweet girl playing Mallika in Rab Se Sohna Isshq

Neha Janpandit who has always played the protagonist, recently entered the show on Zee TV, Rab Se Sohna Isshq (Jay Mehta Productions) wherein she essays a cameo role. So what is it that prompted her to do her very first cameo role?

Neha explains, “After doing three lead roles, I wanted to do something that I have never attempted before. This role of Mallika is one of its kinds. It’s a very challenging role of a business woman who is bold. I have always played a sweet and soft hearted girl, and as an actor I wanted to shed the image of a sweet girl and wanted to show that I can also get into strict and bold roles.”

She further states, “I don’t want to typecast myself with lead roles. I want to take up shows that excite me, something that is different in terms of characterization. As of now I am happy portraying the role of a business woman. In addition to this, I am also shooting for advertisements.”
