Veera 24th November 2012 Written Update

Part 1

Episode starts with Ranvijay naming the baby girl ‘Veera’ as he is her Veerji. Title song plays in the background as Ranvi is playing with his sister. Others are neither happy nor sad to see this except Ranvi’s friend. Guruji announces that the girl’s name is Veera. Ratan gets up and leaves the gurudwara in-spite of Ranvi calling her repeatedly. Chaiji also leaves. Prayer ends and Ranvi requests everyone to have sweets as his sister has got a name today.

Ranvi is looking after everyone who are eating and asks people to serve if something is missing. Taiji talks with Paiji. She asks whether it is good to keep a name on this auspicious day for the girl who caused many problems. Paiji stops her to say further and explains that the girl hasn’t seen the world properly and not to distinguish her with good and bad. He adds that a person must not be blamed for some other person’s wrong doings. Paiji advises her not to say anything as he feels that Ranvi who gave a name to the relationship is far better than her.

Ranvi is dancing with the dol people. Gurpreet and Ranvi’s friends are watching him. Ranvi pulls a few people to dance but they are not accompanying him. Kids start to dance. Ranvi notices a hanky of his friend ‘Dalbir’ with his name on it. He then sees his own hanky which also has his name on it.

Ratan gets flashback of Amrita saying that the girl is Sampooran’s daughter, Sampooran not willing to send the girl away and today’s scene where Ranvi is naming the girl as Veera. She shuts her ears. Chaiji consoles Ratan to fight life with courage though her husband is not with her. She asks Ratan to be happy in the happiness of her son Ranvi and be with him always. Ratan sees Ranvi who is playing with Veera. She refuses to accept the girl as it will mean to accept Sampooran’s mistake. Ratan says she is neither a stone nor God.

Ranvi notices that all the hankies he has his name. He rushes out to get a new hanky with Veera’s name written on it. Ranvi asks the shop keeper to give him a good quality hanky so that it doesn’t hurt his sister. He is confused as what color to choose and finally goes with a white. Ranvi questions the man as why Veera’s name is not on it. The shop keeper says that it will be done by his beeji.

Ratan is washing clothes when Veera starts to cry. She gets angry and calls Ranvi to make the girl/behen quiet. Ranvi comes from outside and is not happy as Ratan is not looking after his sister who is crying. He goes to Veera and then comes back. Ranvi requests Ratan to write Veera’s name in the hanky. Ratan doesn’t reply and starts to beat the clothes fast. Ranvi is getting impatient. Ratan asks him to keep quiet as the girl doesn’t mean anything to them but Ranvi says she means everything to him.

Ranvi is complaining about Ratan to chaiji. He asks her why his mother is behaving weirdly with Veera inspite of her good health. Ranvi is confident that his father will return soon. Chaiji explains Ranvi in a way that he doesn’t get to know the real reason. She asks him not to disturb his mother as she is overloaded with work as his father is not here. Ranvi explains her using pencils that he will be Veera’s mother. Chaiji is shocked and surprised to hear that from Ranvi. Ratan is also present there as he says he is Veera’s unique mother. Ranvi writes Veera’s name on the hanky with a marker and also writes the name on wall, desk and her clothes.

Ratan gets flashback of Sampooran and she writing name of a boy and a girl in paaper and putting in a cloth. She opens the chit to see Veera written on it. Ratan gets emotional on seeing the name and feels that its her destiny to be betrayed by her husband.

Part 2

Its next day, Ranvi is making jhula for his sister. He is not ready to take any help. Chaiji makes fun of Ranvi as he is not able to make jhula but he doesn’t pay any heeds to her. Ranvi fails a few times and asks Chaiji to show him how to make jhula so that he can make it by himself. She explains him how to roll the rope and put it over the rod. Chaiji tries to put the knot but Ranvi asks her not to do anything as he wants to do it. He doesn’t allow her to touch the jhula. Ratan smiles slightly seeing this from a distance. Ranvi is happy as he finally succeeded in making the jhula. He lays Veera on it and sings lori for her.

Chaiji receives a call so she moves away from the place. Ranvi also gets up to pick the hanky that hass fallen down. Ratan is about to leave the place when she notices Veera’s jhula knot getting loosened. The motherly instinct inside her makes her to save Veera. Ranvi and Chaiji are happy to see that Ratan saved Veera. Ranvi takes Veera in his hands and tells her that it’s because of Beeji that she didn’t get hurt today.

Ratan tells Chaiji that she just saved the girl for the sake of humanity and like any other woman would have did the same if they were in her situation. She insists that she has one and only son called Ranvi. Ranvi hears what Ratan says. Ratan gets angry on Ranvi for becoming Veera’s mother and not looking after her properly. Ranvi insists that he will look after Veera as it was his father who said to him that she is his sister. Ratan loosens the grip on Ranvi as he says what Sampooran said to him while leaving. Both women are shocked.

Ratan asks Chaiji whether she knows it already. Ranvi asks her to accept as he had said her the next day Sampooran left for the city. Ratan questions Chaiji as why she asked everyone to search Sampooran when she already knew that Sampooran had left only after informing Ranvi to take care of them. She scolds Ranvi for behaving like a man when he is just a kid.

Ranvi refuses to go to school as he needs to take care of Veera. Ratan gets angry on hearing it and forces him to go to school saying Chaiji will look after Veera in his absence. She takes a promise from Ranvi as not to bunk school and asks Chaiji to send Ranvi. Ranvi is in tears. Ratan remembers Ranvi’s words regarding Sampooran asking for a promise from him while driving the tractor.

Ranvi is getting ready for school. Chaiji brings his lunch box. He asks her to keep Veera’s milk bottle also along with his box. Ranvi makes excuses saying that he will not be able to study properly if he leaves Veera in home. He wants to take her to school as his father might get angry on him if he leaves Veera at home. Chaiji asks whether he is sure that his father will return back. Ranvi says he will talk to his father once before leaving Veera with her. Chaiji allows him to take Veera to school and tells him he will realize his mistake only if his teacher scolds him.

Ranvi is standing outside the school. His friends ask him why he is not coming inside. Ranvi says that teacher will ask him to leave Veera at home. Dalbir then asks how he will continue his studies and says he will request teacher to allow Veera inside. Just then Ranvi’s tayiji’s kids arrive at school. He threatens that he will complain to teacher if he brings Veera inside. School bell rings. All his friends leave him. The peon refuses to allow him to take Veera with him to class.

Title songs plays in the background. Ranvi goes silently inside school as he didn’t want to break the promise he did to his beeji. He finds a space to sit until the school gets over. Ranvi feeds milk to Veera.

Ratan meets Ranvi’s teacher at the school. Teacher informs her that Ranvi didnt attend the school for the past two three days.
