Sobti causes an uproar:
Never before has one witnessed such public outcry over the news of a television star quitting the serial, like it’s happening with small screen heart-throb Barun Sobti and the serial he made popular with his charm and talent, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. The serial being telecasted on Star Plus for last one year basically rode on the amazing onscreen chemistry of the lead pair Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Kumari Gupta (played by Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani) shared.
Protests are pouring in from everywhere including countries like the US, UK, Middle East and a few of them threatening to do dharnas outside the studio demanding the Production House not to allow Barun Sobti to leave.
That Barun Sobti admitting to planning to ‘take a small break’ is not helping to contain the ‘panic reaction’ among his fans.
It remains to be seen if the channel will take the cue from this frenzy and retain Sobti and continue Iss Pyaar…, their most popular serial ever.

November 13, 08:17Barun first of all i need to salute u for such an amazing & fantastic acting of urs.If u wsh to take a break from our beloved show then u cn offcourse tk it but plz don’t quit the show.By looking at ur face it seems that u hv nt slept fr ages .Barun w people r diehearted fan of urs & w wsh that u may success at each & every step in ur lfe .Because of ur 1 sngle decision lfe of large no, of people is at stake.Frankly speaking u hv become integral part of my life as a role model of bg bro.Plz I request u not to quit the show.Plz don’t take smthing away from m which is really imp .Be my big bro and don’t neglect my request and big bro don’t dissapoint their little sister.Once again i request u that if u wsh to take a break then u can tke it but plz do come back .plz…plz…plz

IPKKND TEAM must either end tis show wid happy ending of ARSHI or they must replace sanaya too(though no one can replace sanaya n barun, their chemistry.. there s no possibility 2 run the show with gud TRP rate of now).. we, viewers won’t accept new face as main lead.. 🙁 BARUN n SANAYA r d best jodi fa IPKKND.. i agree tat, when day passes, viewers would start liking new face but am sure tat TRP will drop down rapidly.. so my wish s tat barun could stay a bit long till the end of ippknd or team must finish d show with HAPPY ENDING BETWEEN ARNAV n KUSHI 🙂 🙂 love u arshi.. <3

I would rather have the show have a happy ending than replacing Barun’s character and losing its fans and ratings, because all fans are of the opinion tht without Barun the show is nothing at all, so if Barun doesn’t want to work for IPKKND then their best best is to end the show.
