Anas Rashid, who is shining as Suraj in Star Plus’ popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum got some unforgettable moments to cherish when he recently visited his hometown Malerkotla, Punjab. The actor was overwhelmed with the welcome he received by his fans. The actor shares some of those wonderful moments with us…

Anas said, “I enjoyed a lot at home. Suraj received a very warm welcome there. My family members were excited to see me with a happy feeling that ‘Beta itne dino baad ghar aaya (smiles).’ Friends of friends and their relatives came to meet me too. No one other than my relatives and dear ones visit my house usually. However, this time around a lot of people from the city would come, ring the bell and ask for me”.

Talking about his fans he added, ” There were so many fans that I didn’t even know One morning, I saw 25-30 kids who didn’t belong to my locality who came to me asking me for my autographs and photographs. They came from a far away place.”.

Anas concludes, ” The day of Eid and the day after that was indeed very hectic for me. I got tired of having lots and lots of cold drinks, coffee, dry fruits and many more food items wherever I was going (laughs). This happened during the time I got my first break and the time I was doing Prithvi Raj Chauhan. However, this time I got a grand welcome and love from the fans at my hometown.”
