UNIVERSITY GROUNDS
Sadanand goads Tarachand by saying that he’d reveal Indu’s true colours to him and leads him along. Obviously, the lawyer is up to no good!
While Sanchi is happily conducting the pooja at the shop, Indu looks on admirably. Once its done, everyone claps for the inauguration. The pair then share a few coy smiles (MY they both looked stunning here. Sheesh stop it..stop reminding me of how much I’m going to miss them)
Soon after, a few of the students start taunting Indu – stating that running a stationary shop seemed too drab considering the formidable reputation and powerful aura he possessed.
Indu decides to keep his mouth shut – in fact he just listens on with a wry smile. His friends however, grow incensed and try shutting up the uproar. They remind the boys that even though Indu Singh had given up violent ways, his strength would still remain something to be fearful of!
When the arguments escalate, Indu speaks up ‘All right enough now…till now I was only squandering time and enjoying myself…not long ago, you people used to pay your respects to me even though you didn’t approve of my behaviour…but now that I seek an earnest means to earn, you still have issues?’
He then goes on to explain to everyone that he had indeed turned a new leaf. He was no longer power-hungry. Instead, he wanted to earn respect. He now wanted to live a life of love and honour.
After having expressed his sentiments, Indu mentions that he owed this new-found realization to his ‘father-in-law’ and this dedication to his ‘wife’.
‘All I ever wanted to do was politics, earn name and money…but now I’m no longer interested in all that…’ Indu concludes ‘Now all I want is to earnestly work hard…’ he pauses ‘My shop may be small, but I’ll run it with loyalty…I’m trying to change myself…I hope to have your support in the matter.’
He then asks his audience’s opinion – wondering if they’d be ready to stand by him through his new decisions. While the students remain silenced, an echo of claps is heard from the background – its Tarachand.
Sanchi and Indu are puzzled to discover that the father was a part of the assembly – along with Sadanand.
‘Whoever is with you or not, I’m with you’ Tarachand surprisingly announces with a smile.
Indu cannot even begin to believe his fortune.
Thereafter, Tarachand walks up to Indu and the humble Indu instantly falls at his feet to seek his blessings.
‘Along with my support, you have my blessings too!’ the father states. He proceeds to let his son-in-law know that he was more-than-happy to see this favourable transformation in him.
A few moments later, Sanchi extends her hand out to her husband and wishes him all the ‘best’ in his future endeavours – not only as a wife, but as the student union president too! Indu coyly accepts her gesture and wishes.
Sadanand looks at all of it with a disgusted smirk. Apparently, he’d been counting on the entire ‘shop’ fiasco to turn into a damp squib – seeing how it was below Indu’s etiquette. However, he was wronged here. Not surprisingly, te vows to destroy Indu’s business in the future.
On the other hand; Indu continues praising his father-in-law’s strong words of advice – ‘If you hadn’t said those things to me, neither would my pride have been hurt…nor would I have started something like this…thus receiving your support and honour..THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN’
Tarachand breaks out into a bout of chuckles listening to Indu’s dramatic yet wholehearted sentiments and pats him affectionately.
Indu then goes on to thank Sadanand for his idea of starting up a business ‘Thankfully, you came up with this idea mamaji…left to me, I’d have taken ages to think up anything…’ the mischievous young man then jests light-heartedly ‘And by then my father-in-law would have ended up eating me alive with his ‘angry glares”
Having mocked so, Indu requests Tarachand to excuse his playful audacity – but the entire group was busy laughing their heads out! Tarachand included!
Needless to say, Sadanand replies by slipping in a few ‘status-oriented’ rebukes to taunt Indu’s smallish shop. However, Sanchi discerns the spiteful man’s attitude and steps up to her husband’s support – smiling as she does so ‘He’s doing the right thing for the first time…and I’m proud of him for that…even if he’d decided to resort to manual labour to make an earning for himself, I’d have been so proud to declare that ‘Indu Singh is my husband!’
Indu is overwhelmed by his wife’s support!
Once the crowd eventually disperses, Mehek and Manwa step forth to compliment the couple and their selfless love for each other ‘Love is capable of anything! they declare
A short while later – when everyone’d left- Indu comfortably puts his hand around Sanchi and points to the ‘Sanchi’ nameboard – ‘Ill take your name to the skies!’ he says proudly
She blushes in response.

Its past 5 pm and Indu’s in a hurry to have the shop shut. He’s had a really busy day and can’t wait to get home. The friends then remind him to round up his accounts for the day before shutting shop.
Doing as told, Indu counts the money and is more than happy to realize that he’d earned 1100Rs that day.
His friends ask him what he planned to do with his first salary and Indu replies that he planned to purchase a gift for his wife and his sasurji – after all, he owed them everything now!
However, soon after – Indu starts dreaming that through their hard-work his shop would transform into a large mall in no time- The Sanchi Mall – it’d be something as beautiful as Sanchi herself – a big mall – where people will just get lost as they enter it
He gets so lost in his dreamland, that his friends have to forcefully wake him out of his reverie. After sharing a few laughs, Indu finally leaves the shop to purchase a gift for his wife and his sasurji.
