Suraj to play Satyavan in Diya Aur Baati Hum

As seen in the earlier episodes, Bhabho (Neelu Waghela) does not want Sandhya (Deepika Singh) to study any further in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd.). However, Suraj (Anas Rashid) wants her to become an IPS officer. In fact… Suraj wants to put forth his viewpoint in front of Bhabho in a unique style. Hence, the audience will get to see Suraj playing Satyavan in a skit specially woven for Bhabho to be enacted in Hanuman Gali area near their house.

As per a reliable source, Suraj will prepare for the Satyavan and Savitri skit. As per mythology, Savitri had got her husband’s (Satyavan) life back from Yamraj. Furthermore, Satyavan too had done something similar for his wife. The story that’s known to common people is of Savitra getting back Satyavan’s life but the other part is unknown. Hence… Suraj will be seen showing the other part of the story.

The reason behind playing this skit in front of the entire muhalla will be to explain Bhabho that Sandhya is capable of studying and that she should let her chase her dream.

We got in touch with Anas who said, “Suraj wants Sandhya to study further hence, he has been preparing for this skit.”

Deepika on the other hand said, “It’s a very big step that Suraj is taking for Sandhya. But, it will be for the audience to wait and watch whether he manages to convince Bhabho or not.”

The particular sequence is part of the Karva Chauth plot.
