Tapasya’s entry will not affect my character…says Tina “Ichcha” Dutta
FilmFarm Productions’ Uttaran on Colors’ is going to churn out some interesting sequences in the coming days as one of its most popular characters, Tapasya (Rashmi Desai) is all set to make a comeback. Now, after Rashmi’s exit, Tina Dutta has been hogging all the limelight and currently she is seen in a double role…of Meethi and Ichcha. With Rashmi coming back, gossip mongers suggested that there are chances of Tina getting gripped by the feeling of ‘insecurity”. Without getting into speculations, we decided to talk to the lady herself.
“It’s good that the old characters are getting back in the show. This will only go on to make the story more gripping as the audience has been connected with them for three years now. New faces have been around for only eight months or so,” said the very pretty Tina.
When asked if her track will be sidelined with Tapasya’s entry she quickly replied, “Ichcha has always been the main lead of the show and she will continue being the same…irrespective of Tapasya or any XYZ’s entry.”
Tell her that the story was initially about Ichcha and Tapasya thus, both the characters were leads, to which Tina differed and stated, “The story has always been about Ichcha, her sufferings and her sacrifices. Tapasya was always the parallel lead.”
As reported earlier this time around Tapasya will be back as a positive character… so does she feel that the audience will like her more with this new shade, “I don’t know and can’t comment on it… but there are other negative characters like Nani (Pratima Kazmi) and Tej Singh (Kiran Karmarkar) who will do their bit.”
Well… we are waiting to see Ichcha and Tapasya together on-screen!!!
