It was a fun filled celebration on the sets of Diya Aur Baati Hum!

On its completion of 300 episodes, the cast and crew of the no. 1 show Diya Aur Baati Hum had an exuberant celebration on their sets yesterday…

Shashi Summet Mittal’s Diya Aur Baati Hum (airs on Star Plus) completed 300 episodes yesterday. The show which has maintained its top position in the TRP ranking for so long, has got so many reasons to celebrate as their journey reaches the 300 episode mark.

The production house kept a small cake cutting ceremony on the set in which the entire cast and crew was present to celebrate the special occasion. There was smile on the face of every member of the Diya Aur Baati Hum family on reaching this level. All the actors of the show viz. Anas Rashid, Deepika Singh, Neelu Vaghela, Ashok Lokhande, Varunn Jain, Gautam Gulati, Rashmi Pitre, Sehrish Ali, Gautam Sharma (who plays Rajkumar), Varun Khandelwal (who plays Ankur), etc. were seen enjoying the brief celebration together.

We got in touch with some of the actors of the show to know about their feelings after completing this joyride of 300 episodes.

Anas Rashid aka Suraj shares, “Diya Aur Baati Hum has completed 300 episodes today. When the show had begun we all had expectations as well as insecurities too, but time has flown and we didn’t even realize that we have reached the 300 episode mark. We shall reach greater heights and the credit certainly goes to everyone from the team, family, friends and fans. Without all of them we are nothing. It is because of your love and support that we have reached to this level and I wish that you will continue to support and love us the same way and make us cross 1000 episodes.

Deepika Singh aka Sandhya says, “Because of the love of the fans coupled with God’s grace this day has been possible. Thank you so much for showering so much love and I wish yyou keep giving us this love so that we can cut many more anniversary cakes and witness many episode completions of Diya Aur Baati Hum.”

Varunn Jain who plays Mohit says, “Today we have completed 300 episodes and we are really glad that the audience has given us so much love. Wherever we go, we get a lot of love from the people and this shows that people are thoroughly enjoying the show. We hope 300 becomes 3000 soon and we keep cutting cakes and throwing parties. Thanks to the viewers for showering their love on us.”

Sehrish Ali aka Chavi said, “Thank you so much all the viewers who watch Diya Aur Baati Hum and have given us so much love and made our show the No. 1 and today we have completed our 300 episodes. The viewers have also appreciated my character of Chaturi and I am very much thankful to all of them. I hope that we will complete 1000 episodes soon.”

Adding more fun to the moment, Suraj, Sandhya, Bhabo, Chavi and Chaturi shake their leg on a Punjabi dance number and a little later, he was seen grooving on the floor with all the four girls of the show who were singing Bachna Ae Haseeno for him.
