Diya Aur Baati Hum 12th October 2012 Written Update

Suraj asks Sandhya whether she has any dream unfulfilled. Sandhya is emotional listening to it and Suraj insists her to tell but she excuses saying they will be late. Suraj is upset and says to himself that he has shared everything with her but she is reluctant to share the most important dream of her life and asks why is she running away from it.

Meena blabbering in front of Vikram saying Sandhya is getting bangles and she is getting some nose ring and asks someone to remind Bhabho that Meena has ears and neck too and she has lost some 6 thola gold because of Sandhya. Vikram scolds her saying this is the result of Meena preventing Sandhya from attending her felicitation ceremony and that is why Bhabho became happy and gifting her bangles. Meena is not feeling guilty about this and she goes on further telling Vikram to go and ask Bhabho why she is not fair to Meena. Vikram scolds her saying words like fair, unfair does not look good from her mouth and if she is so badly missing bangles, then to call her mother and ask. Meena is grumbling saying once she has the boy baby, she will have Bhabho gift her big bangles and she has a trick while seeing her bangles. She removes all her bangles.

Bhabho is cleaning kitchen with her typical one-liners for Sandhya. Meena comes there. She offers to help Bhabho while intentionally showing her bare hands in front of Bhabho and finally Bhabho observes it. She asks why she has not worn any bangles. Meena says her baby does not like the sound of glass bangles and she has no gold bangles to wear. Bhabho offers her gold bangles to her. Meena is happy thinking she at least got 3 tholas worth of gold and even helps Bhabho to remove her bangle. Bhabho is silently observing her reactions. After wearing the bangles, Meenu is very happy and says Bhabho used to call her Padamgarh ki Padmavathi and today, she has truly made her like Padamgarh ki Padmavathi. Bhabho tells the next day she will call bangle seller and buy her plastic bangles and until then to wear the gold bangles. Meena is disappointed listening this and Bhabho gives her some work to do.

SurYa come out of jewel shop and leave in the scooter. Sandhya asks Suraj why is he going some other way and he answers he has to meet pandit and the next day was grandfather’s shradhdh.

Meena wiping vessels and Bhabho comes there. She remembers something and asks Meena about the gold bangle given to her by her mother. Meena says it is in the cupboard. Bhabho sarcastically says her to do pooja as they will become double. Meena says she has missed her keys and not getting them on hand. Bhabho tells her once she has a boy baby, she will gift a whole gold set for her. Meena is very happy listening to this and is thinking of having triplets. The baby has made her very rich even before his birth. Chathuri interrupts her dream thinking. Meena shoos her off and she starts blackmailing. Then, Meena agrees to her and Chathuri asks for nail polish. Meena says what is the use as she does not know how to apply. Smart Chathuri tells she does not know to apply but her Meena bhabhi will apply it to her. Meena tries to escape saying she will bring and smarter Chathuri has the nail polish on hand and Meena has no way than to apply it.

Suraj stops the scooter near the pond and tells her to wait for 5 minutes there as he has some work nearby. Sandhya agrees to it. Then, she sees the pond and remembers the childhood incident. She slowly climbs down the stairs of the pond and sits there and then throws a stone into the water. Suraj is watching her from behind without her knowledge. Sandhya remembers the old incident where she was sitting there crying and her father comes there, she questions him why cannot they punish the people who does wrong and her father explains her and she determines to become a police officer. Sandhya then remembers Bhabho’s words that she wants lakshmi and not durga and her appreciation for Sandhya not attending the function and caring for Meena. She is disturbed by this. Her childhood determination and Bhabho’s words keep repeating in her thoughts and she is tearful and then backs out from there. Suraj comes from behind and asks her what happened as she looks troubled. Sandhya is confused and then tells let them return home if his work is finished. Suraj is upset as she is not forthcoming and says he still has some work. They leave from there.

Bhabho doing some sewing work, Meena still wiping vessels with cloth, Mohit working on his laptop. Chavvi comes there and asks Bhabho about the shop where Ankur would have bought necklace for Sandhya. Bhabho asks why and she tells Dilip’s mother had called her and wants to gift her a haar for durgashtami festival. Chavvi liked Sandhya’s necklace and wants to buy in the same shop while noticing Meena’s reactions who is astonished listening to it and thinks she did not see Sandhya’s necklace yet. Mohit says it had written some SK Jewellers and top class customers buy there. Chavvi goes to inform her would-be mother-in-law. Bhabho-Mohit convo on designer jewelry and traditional. Meena wants to go upstairs to see Sandhya’s necklace. She tells she will bring dried clothes from upstairs while Chathuri comes there with the clothes. Meena is thinking what to do. Bhabho tells her to take rest. She agrees but then slowly goes upstairs.

Suraj stops right in front of Sandhya’s college, asks her wait 10 minutes and he wants to meet a customer nearby. He goes some distance and observes Sandhya’s reactions. Sandhya first avoids seeing the college but then slowly turns towards it. Students coming out of the gate speaking about their exams and how much marks they would get. She remembers her convo with her friend. She slowly walks towards the college and then stops.
