Jeannie Aur Juju to take 9.30pm slot on SAB TV; R K Laxman gets an extension…to get a new airing time

Here’s some news from the house of SAB TV.

Well…the channel is up for some programming change. Its high profile show Baal Veer has already hit the screens yesterday (8 October 2012) and the latest we have learnt is that the broadcaster has decided to allot 9.30 pm slot to Giaa Maanek’s upcoming show Jeannie Aur Juju.

A credible source who chose to remain anonymous said that the show is all set to go on air by end of this month (October 2012).

So what does it mean for the current 9.30pm slot owner R K Laxman Ki Duniya? Will it draw curtains?

Well…to clear facts we called up producer J D Majethia of R K Laxman, who said, “I have no idea about Jeannie Aur Juju coming at 9.30 pm but my common man show has been given extension. However, I have not been given a time slot for the same.”

When asked as which other time slot he would prefer, this Survivor India contestant (Star Plus) stated, “I would be happy with any slot in proper prime time. I just hope they don’t give me early prime time (7.30) for which it would be difficult to sustain as SAB TV viewership is mostly male and they don’t get home by then.”

All our attempts to reach SAB TV EVP and Business Head of SAB TV Anooj Kapoor proved futile.
