Krystal, Niaa, Kushal share their feelings on a year-long journey with Ek Hazaaron…
Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, on Star Plus, started a year ago. No one knew that it would become so popular. The role of each and every actor is so well defined that the show is going full steam and is liked by everyone because of its youth-centric plot with a layer of traditional values.
The show is all set to complete a year tomorrow (3 October 2012). It’s not just a show, but deals with issues that are faced in everyday life. There is more in store with the upcoming track of Jeevika aborting her child to save her sister Maanvi. But, at the end of the day, they bring smile on the faces of the audience.
We speaks to the makers and actors of the show to know about their year-long journey.
Siddharth Malhotra, producer of Cinevistaas Pvt Ltd feels that the journey in the last one year has been exactly like nurturing a child and feeling bad when it falls but is proud when it fights back at the end. “At Cinevistaas, we too feel the same because we treat all our shows as our babies and are passionate about them. Luckily, I have found the same kind of passion in Star Plus, creative head, fiction Suzanna Ghai. An equal amount of success goes to my sister Rohini Singh who helped me set up the show for Star. Till date, Suzanna fights for every scene. A show becomes more than a show when it gets into personal relationships.”
As per the plot…Maanvi (Niaa Sharma) will soon be getting married to Virat. Avers Niaa, “It feels good to be a part of the show. It’s so nice to see that exactly after a year, I am getting married. This will happen in a week’s time. I enjoyed every sequence of the show till date, be it the cancer sequence or be it Jeevika’s marriage and now finally my wedding. I personally want that the show should go on and on forever.”
Says Krystal Dsouza aka Jeevika, “Well, it doesn’t feel like it’s been a year. I feel that the show has just begun. I remember my early days of shoot when we used to travel to places like Rishikesh, Mussourie where we had brilliant outdoor shoots. Today also we do travel and work with the same pace. I just wish that the show keeps on running forever and ever and it stays on air more than what Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii did.”
On the other hand, Kushal Tandon who essays the role of Virat, states, “It’s great to be associated with the show and I am very happy that it is doing well. I hope we complete one more year and believe that it should end after two years or else it would get monotonous. I would like to thank my fans for loving our show.”
We congrats the team of Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai !!!
