Na Bole fans have the last laugh…Colors decides to bring back the show for a second season

So… all hope is not lost in the business of Indian television. The decisive factor for any show, whether it will be pulled off air or not, is not primarily governed by TRPs. The makers and the channel honchos are heeding to likes and preferences of fans as well. In the past, news of Navya going off air created waves amongst masses. Fans kept on pleading (via mails, messages and diverse social networking platforms) to the makers (Swastik Pictures) and the channel (Star Plus) to retain the show. The love and appreciation was taken into account and Navya did get an extension and was aired for months later before finally bidding adieu.

Accordingly, fans have been hysteric with the development of Colors’ Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha (Sunshine Productions) waving goodbye. They have been protesting and beseeching at diverse social networking platforms. We have received innumerable mails and messages asking us to contact the channel and the makers to roll back the decision. As heralds of masses, we even carried a story on it.

Now, we are sure that each and every fan of Na Bole would be dancing with joy after learning the news of Colors deciding to bring back the show for a second season (the report was flashed in a website yesterday).

And today, we have received an official press release reiterating the fact.
Here it goes…

On popular demand, Colors fiction show, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha is all set to return with a second season. The announcement comes in after the channel received viewer feedback to revive the show and get their favourites back. The show, that will be shooting its last episode on 5 October, is slotted to return after a hiatus of 3 months with a new script, a new storyline but with the same cast in an all new avtaar! Na Bole Tum started out as a story of a single mother of two kids, played by Aakanksha Singh who tries to get through life by putting on a brave face as a widow, housewife and a dutiful daughter in law; and Mohan portrayed by Kunal Karan Kapoor as a carefree young bachelor. When fate entwined their paths, love happened in an unusual situation. Leading to circumstances, the two get married and are about to lead a happy life when fate throws a twist and Megha gets paralyzed.

This is the first time that a show on Colors will be returning with a second season. Commenting on the new season, Prashaant Bhatt, Weekday Programming Head, Colors, said, “When the news of Na Bole Tum going off air was communicated, we received calls from our fans asking us to revive the show. As the track for Na Bole Tum was poised to end at this juncture, we decided to use this popularity and connect of the characters to provide the audiences with a new season of the show. With this we will be giving the show a new dimension and bring in a fresh track for the viewer.”

Hearing on return of the show, Aakanksha Singh who plays the role of Megha said, “I am excited to know that there will be a season two for Na Bole Tum. We have developed a strong bond by working for hours together, the cast is now almost like an extended family. I can’t wait to know what the new season, story and my character will be like! I am thankful to the audiences for loving Megha so much, I promise to comeback soon.”

Adding to this, Kunal Karan Kapoor who plays the role of Mohan said, “It is amazing to know that we will be shooting for a second season of Na Bole Tum. It is all because of our fans who have showered us with their love and support that we are coming back with a new story. I am looking forward to working on the look and characterization of Mohan in the new set up.”

All the best to the cast and crew of Na Bole…may the second season gain greater heights of popularity. And for fans…we can see the smile on their faces…Cheers!!!
