Love just happens and that’s the beauty of it: Harshad Chopra
We in conversation with Harshad Chopra…
Harshad Chopra who is playing the role of Raghav in Life Ok’s Dil se di dua.Saubhagyavati Bhava? gets candid with us on his relation to his character, bonding with the stars, his life and much more…
Raghav is opposite to Viraj. Am I correct?
Raghav is Raghav and Viraj is Viraj. Both of them fighting for different reasons and this is what differentiates them.
The message of the show is that people should not indulge in domestic violence. Please comment.
The message of the show is very clear that if something wrong happens then we should fight it out, voice and point it out. We must react under any circumstances. We should not be accepting it quietly. A step must be taken against it.
Did you prepare to play Raghav’s role ? Can you relate to Raghav?
When I started playing the character of Raghav, it was very different. I did do my preparations to play this role. At times I can relate to the character and sometimes I can’t. That’s the part and parcel of all the shows and characters.
Don’t you think that Sia deserves a man as wonderful as Raghav?
Sia deserves a choice, she deserves a life, she deserves to live the way she wants to. That’s all she deserves. The rest depends on her choices.
Share a memorable moment enacting Raghav till date.
I would like to share an event while we were shooting for a silent scene with Sriti. We just had to walk with no dialogues. We had to go inside the house after Sia states that she cannot marry me and we have to pretend that we are happy and nothing has happened. When I was doing that scene, I was smiling with tears in my eyes, for which I was rewarded by my sir.
According to you, what made Raghav fall in love with Sia?
Why do people fall in love? Love happens and that’s the beauty of it. Don’t know why, when and how but it happens.
Can you share the upcoming twist going to come on 2nd Sept.?
I have no idea about it.
Tell us about the bond that share with Karanvir Bohra.
We come, do our jobs and we go home – separate homes (smiles). It’s fun to work with Karanvir. Mostly we have to shoot for fight sequences. I remember a scene, when he had a memory loss and I had to go and take his picture as Raghav believed that he had lost his memory. This was the only scene, where we didn’t fight otherwise we always have to do fighting scenes.
Share the most challenging and closest role you have ever played?
Every role and every character you play is always challenging. That’s the reason why you do it. I can’t pick one. The character of Ali was the easiest to play. I am very similar to Ali. You choose and pick roles because you want to do. While choosing a character, you have certain amount of connection with the character so you exactly understand that you can play it comfortably. That’s the reason why every character is close to my heart.
Any historical role you would like to play?
I don’t think of myself playing any historical character.
It seems you prefer to play positive roles. Why so?
I look for characters that have a heart and are human like. This also means I like some negative characters. That’s the reason why I’ve chosen Raghav as he is the most positive character. Karan was a negative character. Mohan was not on the positive side. He was a spoilt brat. He didn’t like his wife, the tradition and culture. If a person is following a wrong path then he can take the right way but how can he take the right path if he isn’t a human!
You’re often linked romantically with your co-stars. Please comment. Also are you dating Additi Gupta or Sriti Jha.
I love all of them. I haven’t dated Additi and not dating Sriti.
