Ek Doosre Se Karte Hai Pyaar Hum 31st August 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Monikangna telling Tejal to clean the hall room by washing the floor. Tejal tells Moni to go and get ready and meanwhile she’ll complete the task. Moni goes to her room and smirks devilishly. She talks to herself: “How innocent you are Tejal bhabhi. It’ll not be possible to clean the whole hall in just half an hour”. She looks at the mirror and speaks to her image: “How wicked you are Moni! On one side you are pretending to help out Tejal bhabhi and on the other hand you are stopping her to get ready for the upcoming ritual??”. She smirks.

In the hall, Tejal pushes all the furnitures aside. Some of them are so heavy that she finds it very hard to move them aside. After moving all the furnitures, she washes the floor with soap water. When she comes with the floor sweeper, she slips in the soap water. Here in her room, Moni is shown getting ready. And Tejal is shown working simultaneously.

After sometime, Moni comes out of her room and gets surprised to see Tejal. She has finished all the work and is busy putting the final touch-ups. Moni gets baffled. But she comes to Tejal and praises her efforts. Tejal praises Moni too as she was looking beautiful. Moni tells that the hall is looking very bright but it would have been better if Tejal would have decorated it.

Tejal tells she has no idea to how to decorate the hall. Moni tells her to light “diyas” in the hall for decoration. Tejal tells she doesn’t know where the diyas are kept. Moni tells she’ll bring it. Meanwhile Tejal goes and changes the front door curtains. Moni brings the diyas.

Tejal arranges the diyas at the entrance by lining them near the door. She runs again to fill oil in the diyas. Moni calls Tejal and says that there are no wicks in the diyas. Tejal tells she doesn’t know to prepare wicks. Moni tells she’ll teach Tejal. She brings cotton and starts making wicks. Tejal also makes.

Then Tejal goes to the entrance to put wicks in the diyas and light them. Meanwhile in the hall, Moni empties the filled diyas and calls out Tejal. Tejal runs inside and gets startled to see no oil in the diyas. She tells she’ll bring the oil kettle. It’s kept in the entrance. Moni tells she’ll bring it.

She goes outside and finds that all the diyas are lighted. She takes one diya and puts it very close to the curtains. And comes inside with the oil kettle. The curtain starts catching fire.

Sushila and Sanyukta walks towards the entrance with the guests. In the hall, Moni asks Tejal if she is getting some burning smell. Tejal tells that she is also feeling something is burnt. They look towards the entrance. The curtain is all fired up. Moni shouts “FIRE”. Sushila, Sanyukta and the guests panic in the entrance seeing the fire. Moni tells Tejal to do something. Tejal runs towards the entrance with the soap water bucket in hand.

She gushes the bucket water towards the entrance. The fire dies down but the water drenches two ladies among the guests. All look at Tejal shocked. Sanyukta gives a deadly glare to Tejal. Tejal stands making a guilty face.

The ladies come inside. Sanyukta shouts at Tejal “What’s this?”. Tejal doesn’t say anything and stands bending her head. Moni comes and tells that Tejal was cleaning the house today. She was decorating the hall but they didn’t know that it would lead to something this big. She apologizes on behalf of Tejal. Sushila brings two towels for the ladies to dry themselves.

The two ladies look at Tejal and tells that Sanyukta is very lucky to get a DIL who works so much almost like a “bai”. It has only been two days that she has been married and she already started working like a servant!! Sanyukta grits her teeth under breath.

Sushila tells Sanyukta to start the “Mudikhai” ritual for Monikangana. In the meantime she’ll get Tejal ready. She takes Tejal upstairs. In the room, Tejal tells all this was not intended. She expected Sanyukta to be happy, instead she made her sad and angry. And she also understood how those ladies were taunting Sanyukta that she makes her DIL work like a servant. She tells she’ll go and clear their misunderstandings.

Sushila stops her from going outside and tells her to get ready. She tells that Tejal is just like her, wanting to do something but it ends up in something else. She tells that when Sanyukta will know how much hard work has been put by Tejal, she’ll definitely be impressed. Downstairs, Monikangana’s “mudikhai” ritual starts. Sanyukta opens her “ghoonghat” and blesses her. She tells her to maintain the culture and ethnicity of the home and take the traditions to hew heights. Moni smiles under her breath. Upstairs, Sushila is busy beautifying Tejal. She tells Sanyukta will be impressed when Tejal will go in front of her like this. Tejal smiles meekly. Episode freezes.
