Anas Rashid’s promises working out for Diya Aur Baati Hum

It may be remembered that Anas Rashid waited for almost 10 months for Shashi-Summit Mittal Pvt Ltd’s Diya Aur Baati Hum to go on the floors. Now, it seems that the wait has indeed got him a good result.

Since the last few months, the show, being aired on Star Plus, has been rocking the TRP chart being the numero uno show amongst others across GECs. This week too, Diya Aur Baati Hum has garnered a commendable 6.7 TRPs.

Now, we have another story to narrate.

It was Anas who had once promised his team that one day the show will touch 8 TRPs. “I still remember, we were celebrating our 100 episodes completion of the show. Then Diya Aur Baati Hum was somewhere at the number two position. That is the time I promised the entire team that one day our show would be in the number one position and will also gain 8 TRPs,” shares Anas.

“After getting 6.7 TRPs this week, many of the production people came to me and reminded me of my promise of getting 8 TRPs one day, saying that the promise is getting fulfilled as we have got 6.7 TRPs. It feels so privileged to be part of such a great show and hope my wish to get 8 TRPs is soon fulfilled,” he adds.

Today, the show is completing a year of success on which Anas avers, “Getting 6.7 TRPs on the day when we actually started shooting for the show is like a compliment that calls for a celebration. It’s just because of the audience’s love and the media support that we have managed to be on the top.”
