Indira and Shwetha enter into the lighting adorned courtyard of Sharma Nivas with shopping bags and balloons in their hands. Indira finds it empty and calls out for each of the Sharma family members names. She keeps calling out to them until each member walk out gradually bearing a cheerless face.
Indira: (surprised) Hey, why are you like this and why are you people so quiet? (In spite of being tearful, they keep a straight face at her)
Munna: nothing like that. There is a dialogue in movie when we are happy we feel peaceful and quiet. I feel so happy that I feel like going around Chandni Chowk with a band and music parade.
Indira: (smiles) really. (She studies others gloomy face) no, there is something fishy here. Now tell me what is it? (They try to maintain a happy face.)
Munna: (smiles) no we are just trying to be polite towards you and we want to celebrate your birthday, Indira
Indira: One minute (takes out An English drink bottle from shopping bag) this is for you bhai. (Giggles) Now, you can drink this wholeheartedly. (Munna is in tears) hey, what happened? Now no one is going to stop you.
Sunaina weeps silently and other regards her despondently.
Indira: (takes out 2 chocolates bar and offer them to Ishaan) here Ishaan take this.
Ishaan: (rudely) no I don’t want this from you.
Indira: Why?(surprised)
Ishaan: (angrily) because you are a cheater and hid a big secret from all of us. I don’t want to talk to you now
Indira: (stunned and stammer) cheater and which secret?
Ishaan: Buha (takes her hand) why are you going away from us? You are the one who made so many promises that after I grow up, you will do this and that. But now you are going away from me before I grow up. I do not want to talk to you anymore. (Throws the chocolate bars on the ground and goes into one of the rooms)
Indira: (upset) Ishaan (Look at others’ doleful faces)
Munna: (hurriedly)I am just a useless person. All these days, I have been eating your food and you are almost dying here. How can you hide this secret from us?
Kutumb: (weeping) Indira, if you had gone before me, then this selfish mother will not get even a place like hell. I cannot see you dying in front of me in this way. (Indira is speechless)
Sunaina: (weeping) my family wellbeing was dependent on your earnings and courage. But if you go away, we will be heartbroken. You are my strength and courage. I will not let you go away like this.
Indar: (weeping) I was the one who always did wrong and you always used to give me more chances to amend. Now, give me one more chance and then I will show you the role of your old father.
Mandira: (weeping) Didi, you were there for me during difficult times. Now I will not let you go away from me.
Indira: (looks stunned at their weeping faces) now after seeing your happy faces, Even if I die, I don’t think I will be unhappy. Currently, I feel I am living in the hearts of you people instead on the house – Sharma Nivas. Now, after so many years you people come to know about when I am about to go away.
Indira burst into tears. The Sharma family members too breakdown coming closer to her and they hug. Ishaan watches the scene hiding behind the curtains. Shwetha watches them silently standing close by.
Indira comes into the courtyard in Clown’s attire and dances around the place trying to cheer up every member. She brings scared Ishaan from the room to the courtyard and very soon, all members dance around the courtyard in delight. Shwetha is recording this in the camera. All of a sudden, it starts snowing all over the courtyard. They look up to see Rishi creating the snowfall through a mechanism and also replays her footage on the projector screen where she says that she yearned to go to Kashmir to feel the cold and freezing atmosphere. Very soon, Rishi along with the family members are having fun and merriment dancing under the snowfall. Indira cuts the chocolate cake and offers each member a piece of it and share some joyful and emotional moments with them.
After the birthday party, Rishi comes to hug Indira and he instantly carries her in his arms. They have an eye lock moment and he walks away still carrying her in his arms until they reach their bedroom. Swetha goes home silently without disturbing the Sharma family members. In their room, Rishi removes her clown attire and both of them kiss and hug passionately. They share some loving moments before going to bed together while the rain pours outside.
Day 28
The next day, Indira is still fast asleep on the bed. Rishi walks into the room holding a lottery ticket in his hand. He comes to sit on the bed beside her and plants a kiss on her head. She wakes up slowly and sits down after she notices him.
Rishi: (displaying the lottery ticket and stammers) I went to buy the lottery ticket when you were fast asleep. Here is your 28th lottery.
Indira: (gets out of the bed impatiently followed by Rishi) now you started your dominance. My time is shortened and I do not know….
Rishi grabs her hand and pulls her gently towards him. He places another hand on her and smiles at her forlorn face.
Rishi: happy birthday Shrimatiji (she looks up at him and he smiles) don’t you want to obtain your birthday gift? (She turns her face away from him) Now, I am ready to fulfil all your wants and desires. (She looks at him keenly) you have not given me any other option. (Stammers almost in tears) now if you are ready to undergo treatment then I too am also ready to marry Shwetha.
Indira withdraws her hands from him taken aback. She smiles at him gradually and goes into his arms at once.
In one of the room in Sharma Nivas, Munna, Indar, Sunaina, and Kutumb are all dressed up in wedding attires bearing an apprehensive look on their faces.
Munna: (impatiently walking back and forth) this is not the age to die. She is younger than I am and look at her condition.
Indar: (coming to him) perhaps if we had known about it before we could have done something.
Munna: What can we do now? Is there anything we can do now?
Sunaina: (sitting dolefully on the bed) before going away she has even made a FD in name of Sehar and Ishaan. She gave money to open papa’s shop and she also open your dairy too.(to Munna ) she even bought me some sewing machines and what have we done to her.(sobs quietly)
Kutumb: (interrupting sitting beside Sunaina) we always did wrong things to her and even degraded her a lot.
Munna: (anxiously) there should be some cure for this. How can we see her dying this way? (to Indar) come daddy lets go the doctor and consult a doctor regarding her treatment. Come lets us go (impatient and frustrated)
Indar: (convincing Munna) see Munna your grandma too had this same illness. Now, let her die in peace.
Munna: (to Kutumb frustrated) see mummy, what daddy is saying? How can we she dies like this? And how can God take her away like this.
Sunaina: I think papa is right.
Kutumb: (confidently)I am telling that there is a solution for everything. We can perform a havan and my daughter will be cured.
Indar: (to Kutumb) perhaps your intention is right.
Munna: (puzzled) havan?
Rishi: (entering the room to convince others) See, if she gets some sort of treatment then there will be some hope. (Others go thoughtful). But your favourite and loving daughter is not willing to undergo treatment, so what can we do? Now, there is shortage of time and anything may happen to her within this time. Soon after Mandira’s wedding we can sit and convince her to undergo treatment. (Others nod their head going thoughtful) until then I hope God takes care of her wellbeing. (all of them pray to god anxiously).
