Indradhanush qatil – Part 2

Episode opens with the auditorium where Ishika enters with a hammer in her hand. She feels someone behind and he’s the producer, Jageer. He’s surprised to see her and guesses she must have come to meet him. Ishika tells him she has come to search her watch. Jageer says he’ll get her a brand new expensive watch. Saying so, he gets intimate and further says their affair has become private due to KD and the case and his wife is ready to divorce him. Ishika declares she can’t marry him. Jageer is stunned and grabs her hair. Carpenter Mahipal comes and asks Jageer where to keep the wooden plank he was carrying. Jageer signals him towards somewhere and Ishika gets a call. She tells Jageer that Arif had called; they both have been called by KD in his office.
KD shows them their photos discovered from the pen drive. He asks whether they both are seeing these the first time and they reply yes. KD then inquires whether they have been blackmailed by someone. They say they haven’t been blackmailed yet and request KD to let it be private. Ishika then says their affair isn’t related to the murder. KD asks where she was at the time Samar got killed. Ishika tells him she was in her makeup room, rehearsing her lines. KD gets a phone call.
He arrives at the police station where a policeman informs him about Raju’s strange behavior. KD enters the lockup where Raju is singing the song “Nazar ke samne jigar ke pass” as Amitabh Bachchan. KD asks him about the person he saw running from the 5th seat of 3rd row. Raju begins talking about his villager, as Gajodhar and KD had to declare he isn’t talking about his village theatre. Raju still doesn’t give a good reply and KD asks him to tell Amitabh Bachchan to write the name on a paper, when he comes. Raju tells him wrote and gets restless when KD asks him where he wrote. Raju’s form changes into Gabbar and KD spots a name written on the wall. It’s “Madhav”.
In the court, Madhav is in the witness box. KD lets him know that Raju saw him run away from the seats. Madhav rejects he was there. Jaisawal inquires Raju did he see Madhav run away. Raju is unable to recall and states someone inside him must have spotted. Jaisawal shouts at him and then KD. KD asks do his family members listen high! Even before he could reply, KD shows him a pen drive and Jaisawal gets back to his seat.
KD asks Madhav whether the pen drive is his, Madhav denies. After that, he shows him an old model laptop registered on his name. He browses the files he opened and checks the USB drive files. Photos of the pen drive i.e. of Ishika and Arif, were there. Madhav accepts the pen drive is his and he was there at the 5th seat of 3rd row. He knew about Ishika and Arif’s affair and so clicked their photos to blackmail them. That day he heard Samar blackmailing Jageer and was stunned. He was sitting there and listening to him continuously, then Raju came and they both started arguing. Suddenly he heard the voice of a hammer being hit and ran away; Raju spotted him right at the moment.
Raju utters he didn’t see, Amitabh saw. He starts singing “Mere angane mein tumhara kya kaam hai”. KD reveals that Arif told him he would have been the lead after Samar and declares that the doubt on Raju and Madhav is same. Jaisawal agrees and states there’s a loophole, distance. They all decide to go to the theatre.
Everybody takes position on the stage. Jaisawal stands at Samar’s position and Madhav goes where he was hiding. He holds a hammer and Jaisawal asks him to target his head and throw the hammer. Madhav does so and the hammer hits Jaisawal below intestine. Madhav declares he couldn’t aim Samar’s head. KD claims Raju didn’t kill Samar and moves ahead to clarify. He goes near mike and stands in the same direction as Raju was standing while speaking dialogues. He asks Madhav was he able to hear Raju properly and Madhav replies his voice was loud and clear. KD concludes that the moment he turns to Samar’s position, his voice gets low while Raju’s voice was clear all the time. It’s clear he didn’t turn to Samar and kill him. Jaisawal tries to reject this theory but the judge agrees KD has a point.
Raju gets transformed again, into an old man. He gets impressed by KD and blesses him. Jaisawal wonders how’s this possible as just two people were on the stage. Raju reveals he had collided with Ishika that day. A flashback is shown and Ishika has a hammer in her hand. Ishika rejects but Raju shouts at her and is about to say something else when he changes into Gajodhar.
In the court, KD shows Ishika her watch. She defenses herself and says it went missing two days before. KD claims she dropped it the day Samar was murdered. Jaisawal asks for guarantee and KD shows him the date and time flashed on the stopped watch. KD then asks her why she lied earlier. Ishika tells him she lied so that he wouldn’t doubt her. She reveals she saw Samar threatening Jageer on phone and was stunned. She left and collided with Raju. KD asks about the hammer in her hand and she denies she had any. Jaisawal utters Chacha told him about this and turns to Raju who’s acting like a lady. He says Jaisawal should be ashamed on referring a woman as a man and declares she’s (He) his sister.
KD asks Ishika to admit she had a hammer and Ishika finally does so. She tells him the hammer wasn’t the murder weapon but she took that from Mahipal’s toolbox, to repair her sandal. KD states she’s untruthful but she keeps on saying she’s innocent. Jageer gets up from his place and had to say something. He appears in the witness box and reveals that someone told him when Raju went to meet Samar; he had a hammer with him.
He further on being asked exposes that Mahipal told him so. Mahipal appears in the witness box and discloses that Raju had come to him as Neeraj when he was repairing something. He took his hammer and said he has to break someone’s head. Jaisawal yells at him and questions why didn’t he reveal this earlier. Mahipal excuses Raju has done a lot for him therefore he couldn’t speak adjacent to him. KD inquires why he’s saying now, did someone ask him to do so. Mahipal denies and says he couldn’t secrete a murder anymore.
KD questions Raju is Mahipal right. Raju replies he wasn’t there, Neeraj was. He then gets emotional and says his fight is with himself. His wife ran away due to this disease and he left his kids with his sister, he’s alone. He then corrects himself and says he isn’t alone, seven forms are inside him and he passes his time with them. Raju cries and says he didn’t kill Samar.
KD is with Raju in the lockup. Raju loses his faith and says he may have killed Samar due to his frustration and sickness. He tells KD he’ll admit he has killed Samar. KD consoles him and assures this won’t happen as he’ll prove his innocence.
In the office, Varun concludes they should reduce Raju’s punishment exposing his mental illness. KD wonders he learnt this even after working with him for a long time. He gets up to leave and signals Varun to come.
They both are on the stage of the auditorium. KD concludes hammer wasn’t thrown from left right or down. He looks up and something strikes his mind. He asks Varun to go up. Varun gets an old sleeper and a partially fixed nail.
In the court, Jaisawal asks Raju whose head he had to bang, Samar’s. Raju begins acting like Gabbar. KD says he has to confirm whether Mahipal saw Raju taking away the hammer.
Mahipal comes in the witness box and confirms he gave the hammer to Raju. KD inquires where he was at that time. Mahipal replies he was working at the outer part of stage. KD concludes Raju went to stage after taking hammer so he must have taken 2-3 minutes to reach there. KD then asks Mahipal how he reached 40 feet above the floor in 2-3 minutes. Mahipal rejects he went up. KD shows a photo of the place 40 feet above, where Mahipal was present. Two nails were fixed there and the third one was partially fixed. Raju utters he had heard the sound of hammering, that must have come from above. KD claims he was hammering and suddenly stopped and dropped the hammer on Samar’s head as he was standing right below him. His fingerprints got removed as Raju picked that up. He shows his sleeper as the proof.
KD asks who told him to kill Samar. Mahipal confesses that was a mistake, he didn’t drop the hammer intentionally. He got terrified of being jailed and remained quite when all blamed Raju. KD then asks why he lied about Raju taking hammer from him. Mahipal tells him he thought he would be caught by the way KD handled the case and so he decided to take an advantage of Raju’s disease.
The judge gives his decision.
Jaisawal is about to say something when KD stops him and asks is it necessary to say something at the end, every time! Jaisawal gives him a smile and leaves. Raju thanks KD and Jageer happily asks Raju will be a part of his play. Raju gets upset thinking about his disease and KD tells him they’ll take care of it.
