Tiwari’s room
Just as Sadanand is about to turn behind to watch what Indu kept peeping at, Sanchi manages a close escape by hiding behind the curtain.
On finding nothing behind him, the lawyer then returns to his act – seeming furious about how Indu mistook him to be the person responsible for bailing Shukla out.
‘Tell me…who gave you this harebrained idea?’ Sadanand shouts at his nephew
Indu is compelled to cover up ‘N..No I thought that it could be none other than you…well…if you haven’t done it…then fine…I have nothing more to say…’
Sadanand attempts to continue feigning innocence – stating that he was as irked as Indu about the fact that Shukla had successfully been granted bail ‘He’s your enemy, so he’s my enemy too’
‘Yes’ Indu replies, not entirely convinced by Sadanand’s answers ‘That man must have made some foolproof arrangements to ensure his release from jail… he’s very shrewd…anyway, mamaji please keep your distance from him’
Sadanand agrees to his nephew’s request – well at least acts like he does!

Sanchi’s room
Storming into Sanchi’s room, Indu walks up behind Sanchi and forcefully turns her around by her arm.
‘What’s all this?’ he yells at her ‘First you come up to me and taunt me that it was my mama who released Shukla from the jail…and now that I’m ready to confront him about this, you’re stopping me!’
‘Look’ she says in a low voice ‘What you were going to do is right…but if you’d taken my name by mistake, the consequences could have been drastic!’
‘Why? What could have gone wrong?’ he questions her, still enraged over the issue ‘Tell me’
‘If you’d taken my name there, then your mama would come around to me, questioning me how I know about all this…’ Sanchi explains ‘And then I’d be forced to reveal the name of the person who’s given me this information’
‘Well then who’s that person…tell me…’ he slaps his palm, demanding an answer
‘I can’t tell you that’
‘Fine…don’t tell me… keep your information to yourself…’
She starts walking away from him in a huff, when he calls out to her from behind – his voice much calmer now ‘At least thank me that I decided to stop when you requested me to do so…at least now I hope you trust me when I say I didn’t steal the property papers’
She grits her teeth, as she mutters an angry ‘Thank you’ in reply, before strutting out.
He watches her leave with his hands in his pockets, musing to himself about the new set of problems that had just emerged.

Rubina’s house
Sanchi visits a very welcoming Rubina – hoping to continue with the drama from the previous day. Receiving the books from the lady, Sanchi hands her a token in return – a box of chocolates. Both young ladies thank each other – Sanchi for being informed about her misplaced books; and Rubina for the being rescued in time.
A lively Sanchi then tries to involve the lady in a conversation ‘So who else stays at your place then…’
Listening to this query, the colour from Rubina’s face turns a few shades paler. Watching her reaction, Sanchi prods on ‘I…I mean…don’t your parents stay with you?’
‘My story is a very long one…forget about it for now…I’ll tell you about it some other day’ the hesitant lady pauses ‘Anyway…as our friendships grow stronger, I’ll tell you everything later on…’
Just then the door bell rings. At about this time, Sanchi too mentions that she needed to get going. The two ladies bid each other parting wishes and walk up to the door. Just as Rubina opens the door to let Sanchi out and the visitor in, they learn that the person waiting outside was none other than Sadanand.
Thankfully shielded by the door, Sanchi is not yet noticed by Sadnanad. However the startled girl needed to escape the situation without being caught.

Still standing outside, Sadanand is irked by the delay in attending to the doorbell and cross-questions Rubina about it. Swiftly transforming herself into coy-mode, Rubina makes up an excuse – while secretly signalling to the hidden Sanchi to remain unseen. Taking the cue, Sanchi quickly shifts from her spot and moves to hide behind a pair of curtains in the lady’s bedroom.
In the meantime, Sadnanad makes his way into her house and begins showering the lady with affection – both verbal and physical. Rubina is embarrassed, knowing that Sanchi could see and hear them. At one point, she feels forced to nudge the man away.
Nodding his head in annoyance, Sadanand walks up to a sofa and stretches out on it. He chides her gently for calling him up only when she needed something from him and that she never summoned him ‘just for the sake of’! He also warns her to apply brakes on her spending spree and that he didn’t have an unending supply of money to keep showering her with. Rubina becomes tearful and starts pouting a sob- story in order to garner his sympathy. Following a brief session of words and making-up between the two, Sadanand requests Rubina not to call his mobile at any untimely hour – lest they invite Radha’s suspicion and terrifying wrath!

Still tucked behind the curtains Sanchi overhears all of it, becoming increasingly appalled by every revelation!

Rubina tries justifying herself to Sadanand by raking up his past promise to leave his wife for her. However, not encouraging the leave-your-wife-for-me topic any further, the lawyer fishes out 2000 Rs from his pocket and hands it to the sobbing lady to pamper her ‘Now stop crying…I have to go out…so I can’t finish what I’ve started…but will be back later…for more!’ he says, petting her chin
Ecstatic, the man then gets up from the couch and strolls out of the door followed by his lady-love.

Once Sadanand was out and the door closed, an awkward Rubina requests Sanchi to come out of hiding.
Following a brief spell of silence between the two, Rubina starts disclosing the shortcomings of her life in a humble tone. Apparently, the lady had not known that Sadsnand was a married man when she’d met him. When she DID come to know – it was too late!
Sanchi instigates the lady to leave the man and even vouches to support Rubina if she did so.
However, Rubina is hesitant – what with Sadnand being a notoriously renonwed criminal lawyer ‘Every single lady needs the shadow of a man to stay safe from this vile world’ she concludes tearfully.
Sanchi attempts to comfort the girl, letting her know that she’d be her friend. Rubina is touched that Sanchi was prepared to remain friendly with her despite knowing her reality – unlike the rest of the world who fail to understand the harsh realities and reasons behind people’s poor choices in life!

Seeing that she now had Rubina’s trust, Sanchi proceeds to give the girl one of her power speeches – the outline of it basically being about tapping one’s self-respect, valour and self-confidence to overcome deceptive hurdles that people like Sadanad bring with them. She promises her full-fledged support to Rubina in the matter.
The forlorn lady is relieved to be have Sanchi by her side. The young ladies end their conversation with Rubina pleading Sanchi to keep the entire matter mum till the issue was resolved.

Mathur’s house – the hall
The bitter Radha orders Anita to bring her some tea. However, Veena brings forth a few cups instead and offers it to Radha. Hurling the offered cup away, she threatens Veena not to act smart. Radha is under the impression that this newfound sweetness in Veena must be something to do with a ploy to oust the Tiwaris from the Mathur mansion. Ordering Anita to bring her another cup of tea, Radha storms away from the hall.
Disheartened, Veena then proceeds to pick up the broken pieces of porcelain from the floor. Anita approaches the sad mother and requests her not to put up with such atrocities any more since she had no compulsion to do so.
By chance, Sanchi who was just entering the house hears the entire conversation between Anita and Veena. The girl is distressed. Transfixed in her thoughts at the doorway, she fails to notice the young man who was now standing behind her.
Noticing her not budging from the entrance, he mocks her ‘Well its your house…you can go in any time you want…do you need someone’s permission?’
Letting out a mild chuckle, Indu then overtakes Sanchi to step inside the house and help himself to a few peaceful moments on the sofa.

Still reeling from news of the incident involving her mother, Sanchi makes up her mind that she’d not allow the Tiwaris to take any more advantage of her mother’s innocence. Since she could not change her mother’s thought-processes, she’ll have to curb the Tiwaris’ insolence instead.
Just as she’s plotting a plan against the Tiwaris, she notices Radha getting down the stairs. Her attitude now takes a drastic change.

Suddenly acting like a caring concerned wife, she approaches Indu and begins wiping his brow with the end of her dupatta, simultaneously asking him if he’d like something to eat.
Though Indu remains gob smacked by the erratic alterations in his wife’s behaviour, he eventually notices Radha’s arrival and understands the reason behind Sanchi’s short spell of sweetness. The complaint man then joins in her drama too ‘Finally! You’ve understood the love I have for you!’
Wanting to take advantage of Sanchi’s rare adoration, Indu requests her to get him something sweet to eat.
Witnessing the so-called affection between husband and wife, Radha is horrified.
Once Sanchi disappears inside the kitchen to get her husband some snacks, Radha runs up to Indu and scolds him for submitting to Sanchi’s display of fondness ‘How could you forget all that she’s done to you in the past?’
His legs stretched on the centre table, Indu smiles as he replies casually ‘Mamiji…where there’s love, there’s arguments too…and all that you’ve said is a thing of the past… now, we’re quite amiable with each other’

Just then, Sanchi enters the hall with a tray of sweets and offers it to her husband. She keeps it on the table and then hurries off to get him a cup of tea in accordance with Indu’s wishes.
No sooner than she leaves, Radha again confides her suspicions to Indu.
However, Indu appears unperturbed. Munching on a laddoo, he tries calming the alarmed lady in a very nonchalant manner ‘Now just because we both fight, I can’t get rid of her from my life, can I?’ he goes on to elaborate ‘Now, you have many fights with mama…but he doesn’t kick you out of the house, right? Fights do take place… but I’m only concerned with living peacefully here… now that that’s happening…I’ll say, all’s well that ends well…whatever the bickering or arguments, she’s my wife at the end of the day…’ Picking up the glass, he sips on the water ‘One more thing…when people stay together, there’s bound to be some conflict…but what’s important is that the family should be happy and content…’

No sooner than he finishes his counsel, Anita brings the cup of tea that Radha had requested for. Fuming with anger owing to her nephew’s supposed change of attitude and all that she’d been adviced on, Radha directs her rage towards her sister-in-law and thunders away from the hall.

Smirking at his mami’s wrath, Indu returns to his prior state. A second or two later, he receives a call from Guddu on his mobile. His loyal friend informs him that Tiwari and Shukla had met up and that the two rogues had chatted for more than an hour or so.
Indu is not happy ‘Find out whats going on..wehre they plan to go…what they plan to do..so that it’ll help my cause when I plan my revenge!’
Once Guddu agrees to carry out his leader’s orders, Indu ends the call.

Barely a moment later, Sanchi emerges with a tea cup sitting on a tray. However, she soon notes that Radha had already left. Now being under no compulsion to act lovey-dovey with Indu, she hatches a plan. Acting on her notion, the girl pretends to offer the tea to her husband.
Momentarily gladdened by the gesture, Indu thanks his wife and is about to accept the tea from her. Unfortunately for him, Sanchi snatches the cup before he could reach out for it and starts drinking it herself – praising the drink while she does so.
Feeling insulted by the trickery, the young man looks away in disappointment ‘At least if my mami was here, she’d have made me nice things to eat…different things to munch on…fine go on…enjoy yourself…’

Having been a silent witness to Sanchi’s injustice against Indu, Veena angrily summons Sanchi to her room – wanting to have a word with her audacious daughter.
Watching his mother-in-law’s wrathful glares aimed at Sanchi, a smile esacpes the young man’s lips – he knew very well that Sanchi was in for a round of admonishment from his mother-in-law.

Tarachand’s room
‘Why do you illtreat him so much in person, when you act so coy with him in front of others…’ Veena unhappily asks her daughter ‘What do you get by treating him so badly…’
‘I’m only doing all this so that the Tiwaris think that we’re now a cordial couple’ Sanchi replies, refusing to appear guilty ‘This will stop their efforts at trying to pit us against each other and this will stop them wanting to use Indu against us!’
‘Oh Lord!’ Veena exclaims sadly ‘So all this is just a drama…I thought you had changed…I’ll tell you one thing…you’re not right…’
The conversation between mother and daughter is abruptly interrupted when a haggard Tarachand walks in. He’d had a not-so-fruitful meeting with a lawyer. Apparently, the lawyer had adviced Tarachand that getting the papers back was a very difficult task. Worse, if the thief managed to steal the originals from the municipal office too, then they’d have no ownership over the Mathur nivas.
Sanchi and Veena are shocked.
However, Sanchi does not want to relent – she wants to weed out and fight the person who was attempting to steal their papers and their property.

Precap: Sanchi is telling Mehek that she suspects the paper-thief to be Sadanand and plans to use Rubina’s help in catching him red-handed.
Just as she is saying so, Sanchi and Mehek notice that Rubina had made her way to their university.
