Saas Bina Sasural 14th August 2012 Written Update

~Starts with Tej singing “Humme Tumse Pyaar Kitna” and Tejy bursting into tears again seeing Tej break down. Everyone consoles him and reminds him that he has to be happy for Toasty. He finally agrees that he will remain happy for Toasty’s happiness.

~Prachin is dropping Dimple off at home and Dimple tells him I only ever met Toasty didi every once in a while but now that she’s gone, I’m missing her so much. You don’t realize the importance of people while they are alive because you feel like you can see them anytime…but once they are gone and you can’t see them again, you miss them so much. You probably think I’m so weird. Prachin says no, I don’t think you’re weird. I understand what you’re saying. Dimple is touched and she hugs Prachin and Prachin consoles her and tells her not to cry. He takes her out for ice cream in an attempt to make her feel better.

~(VERY CUTE SCENE!!) Tej is crying in his room when Toasty’s voice speaks and says you’re crying aren’t you? I knew that you would cry no matter what, Buddhu Ram. Tej looks around everywhere trying to search for where the voice is coming from. Toasty says why are you looking here and there? Look here. Tej sees the music system and that a CD is playing and he looks shocked. Toasty says don’t look so shocked..I set the timer on the music system. I know how hard it must be for you to move on and you shouldn’t stop living just because I’m not there. Just because I’m gone doesn’t mean our dream are gone too…I want you to live your life and fulfill our dreams. So I want you to continue practicing salsa. You must have forgotten that such a thing as salsa even existed but now I’m reminding you. Open the drawer on the bedside table. Tej goes to open the drawer of the bedside table on his left and Toasty says again left!? It’s in the right side drawer, buddhu. I don’t understand what love you have for left side. Tej goes to the right side drawer and pulls out an envelope. Toasty says open the envelope. You’ll find the details for a salsa competition in there. I want you and Smiley to participate in this. Tej looks shocked and gets annoyed, starting to put the paper away in the envelope. Toasty says you can’t refuse to do so..I’ve already registered both of your names in the competition. Tej is shocked. Toasty says I want you to work hard and learn everything from Smiley and that both of you win. Tej is sad and left in thoughts.

~Next morning at the dining table, Tej isn’t there…Nitika says that he is still sleeping and she didn’t want to go and wake him up as he probably slept late. Everyone is sad thinking of Tej’s haalat. Smiley tells everyone that she has decided to shift from C Nivas as she doesn’t like staying there as the reason for her coming to stay in C Nivas–Toasty–is gone. Everyone is upset but the elders understand that its her choice. Smiley leaves the table and Shobha says that Toasty is gone and now Smiley will leave us too…she’s been doing everything ever since Toasty left and what will happen to the house now. Pashu says so we should keep her here just so that the house will continue to run? She has her own life too and she has to do what she came here to do as well.

~Dadaji is talking to Toasty’s picture and saying that Smiley is going to leave and then there won’t be any chance of Tej-Smiley. He thinks of what he can do. He tells Toasty making missions and coming up with ideas is your thing..I don’t know how to do any of this. Tej comes in then and asks for Smiley ( As much as I don’t want Tej-Smiley to get married…I can’t help but be amused by Dadaji’s expressions and the way he is in this scene ) Dadaji makes a surprised and happy face and then turns it back to serious and asks him why he is asking for Smiley. Tej says I have some work with her. Dadaji tells him that Smiley is looking for a place to move to and Tej asks why she is thinking of moving? Dadaji says I thought you wanted her to move. Tej says what can I do? Toasty has put me in a tough spot. She wants me to participate in a salsa competition with Smiley. He sits on the bed and says but if Smiley is leaving now then I don’t think its possible. Dadaji is all happy and pulls out Toasty’s picture and says what a shot, partner! We are definitely going to win the match. Tej, who has his back turned, and thinks Dadaji is talking to him says how will I win? There’s no way I’ll be able to learn salsa so quickly. Dadaji says you’ll win for sure because Toasty is with you. Dadaji says we should talk to Smiley and says that he will talk to her. Tej say ok…then Dadaji realizes there’s a better route for his plan and he tells Tej, why should I talk to her? Tej says because you just said you would talk to her. Dadaji says no, I meant you should talk to her. Tej is like ok, whatever.

~Smiley and Prachin come to the cafe and Smiley asks why they came to this coffee shop. Prachin spots Dimple and waves her over and they pretend like Dimple is there without a reason..Prachin tries to convince Smiley that none of the apartments they looked at were good enough and she should put the rent into staying at C Nivas instead..Dimple supports him and says for once you’re speaking something smart. Prachin says who’s the one to talk and calls her chipkali and Dimple stands up and says I came here to help you, Prachin…I mean I came to help you, Vanaspati! They both start arguing and Smiley stops them and makes them sit down and says now we’re on track. She tells them that she has already made the decision to move out and is going to go pay the advance for the Meera building apartment. She tells Prachin and Dimple to stop fighting and that when they are like friends, they both look really cute together.

~Tej comes to Dadaji and wonders where Smiley is..Dadaji suggests him to call her but Tej refuses to do so. Smiley comes and tells them that she put down the advance on the apartment and that she is shifting the next day. Tej is upset and Smiley asks what’s wrong? Dadaji tells Tej to talk to Smiley but Tej refuses to and Smiley follows him wondering what he wanted to talk aobut. Tej tells to leave it but Smiley takes the tiffin box from him and says that she won’t give it back until he tells her what’s up. Tej tells her about the salsa thing and asks her to teach him salsa in two weeks…Smiley apologizes that it will be impossible as the apartment she is moving to is far from C Nivas and the time he comes back from the store would make it too late for her to return home afterwards. He says if it’s a matter of timings, why don’t you stay back for two weeks and then move out. Smiley says its not possible. Tej says its ok..if it doesn’t work for you then that’s fine. He leaves sadly, taking the tiffin with him.

~Smiley gets a courier from Toasty and inside are a pair of Toasty’s earrings that Smiley had liked. There’s a note where Toasty tells Smiley that she is gifting those earrings to her as she liked them. She tells Smiley that she knows that Smiley must be considering leaving the house as Toasty is gone and it doesn’t seem right to stay but I’m telling you with the right of friendship that you should stay back in C Nivas as the family loves you a lot now and with me gone, they need you even more and Tej needs your help, so please, I’m asking you out of love and as a haq, to please stay back. Smiley looks thoughtful.

~Tej is in his room saying it’s not going to happen, Toasty. To learn salsa in such a short amount of time and participate in the competition, and win..it’s impossible. Smiley walks in and says nothing is impossible and if you want to win that competition, then you have to stop this crying and practice salsa seriously for the next two weeks. She says I have a lot of work to do if I have to change this buddhu ram into a salsa pro in such a short amount of time. But Toasty knows that if anyone can do it, then that is me. Right? Tej says right and smiles.

Pre-cap: Tej is emptying out a gift box given by Sudha from Toasty which has a shaadi ka jodaa, sindoor, etc. Tej is confused and Shobha says are you sure Toasty left this for Tej? Tej feels the bottom of the box, searching for a note but Sudha says there is no note this time, Tej. The things in the box are meant to be a message for you. Tej is confused. Sudha says Toasty wants you to get married. Dadaji says and she has chosen a girl for you too…Smiley. Smiley stands up shell shocked and Tej looks furious.
