CID 12th August 2012 Written Update

Scene 1 – At the Premier

The episode begins with a news reporter reporting about the premiere of a new film starring UV, a Superstar. Fans, press officials were all waiting to get a glimpse of their star. The reporter says that the premiere show has ended and UV was about to come out any moment. UV comes out of the theatre and is welcomed by his fans with applause and cheers. He asks his security officers to allow the media persons to come near him and answers their questions one by one. On being asked about his first wife Manyata’s decision to move the court against him regarding some monetary issues, he avoids answering it and moves to the next question. After this, he moves ahead and starts giving away autographs for his fans. Suddenly, he feels dizzy and collapses on the ground. Everyone is shocked . His secretary, security officials and his PR manager take him to the hospital.

Scene 2 – At the Hospital

The doctor informs UV’s heart broken wife that they could not save UV. He had a major heart attack and was brought to the hospital quite late. She breaks down. UV’s secretary and his PR manager tries to console her.

Scene 3 – CID Bureau

Abhijeet and Daya are seen discussing about the present scenario of crime world when a lady enters in white mourning dress. She introduces herself as Manyata, UV’s ex-wife and asks them to take up the case of UV’s death as she is confident that it was a murder. On being asked about the reasons, she says that since the last few days, a crazy fan was sending threatening letters to UV. She was suspecting the same fan to be the murderer. CID team interrogates her about the case that she was supposed to file against UV but she says that the matter was solved in discussions only and she has nothing to do with UV’s murder. She adds that even after UV’s death, his money and property will all go to his present wife Arpita and not her, so she gets nothing from his death.

Scene 4 – UV’s residence

Arpita and others are mourning over UV’s death when CID team comprising of Inspector Rajat, Purvi and Nikhil enter with Manyata. Arpita loses her temper noticing Manyata and orders her to leave the house without creating any more scene. When CID team tells Arpita about Manyata’s suspicions about UV’s death, she asks them to come after the last rituals are performed, but Rajat refuses and sends the body for post mortem.

Scene 5 – Forensic Lab

Dr.Salunke informs Abhijeet and Daya that UV died because of heart attack. They instantly conclude that it wasn’t a murder, to which Salunke opposes and shows them the mark on UV’s palm. He was injected with something, that caused the heart attack and had killed him. Manyata again tells them about the threatening letters. Abhijeet says they need all those letters for further investigation.

Scene 6 – Bureau

ACP, Rajat, Purvi, Freddy go through each and every letter sent from fans to UV. Purvi finds one of the threatening letters. The writer called herself as “Jaanlewa Jaaneman”. The second letter seemed to be written with blood. The writer had threatened UV about the premiere night. UV’s PR manager confirms that UV hesitated a lot from coming to the premiere that night because of the letter. ACP asks his team to get hold of the media footage of that night’s incident.

Scene 7 – Bureau

The videos are checked by the team. When watched again and again on slow motion, ACP notices a girl in red coat wearing dark glasses, who seemed to be nervous and the last one to have taken UV’s autograph. Her suspicious behaviour puts her under the scanner. ACP asks Uv’s secretary and his PR manager about the girl, but they refuse to recognize the girl at all.

Scene 8 – At a house

The girl in the red coat comes inside a house nervously and starts packing her suitcase. Before she could leave, the door bell rings and she opens the door. She is seen to be relieved to see the guest at her doorstep.

Scene 9 – Bureau

Abhijeet and Daya watch the second video footage of the premiere night. The notice how the girl in the red coat injects the pen in UV’s palm which led to UV’s death. Salunke enters with his report and confirms that, Nolan Tri-oxide( i hope I heard the name correct ), the chemical that was injected into UV’s body was responsible for the sudden heart attack. Abhijeet orders his team to get hold of the girl in the video. He tells them to spread posters of this girl everywhere in the city so that someone would at least recognize her.

Scene 10 – Outside a residential complex

An old lady notices the poster of the wanted girl and remembers having met her accidentally the other night.

In flashback, we are shown how the girl while hurrying out of the auto rickshaw hits he old lady. The lady scolds her for being so rude and notices where she goes.

The lady informs CID.

Scene 11 – At the probable residence of the wanted girl

While Rajat interrogates the old lady, Nikhil and Purvi search the entire house. Nikhil finds a writing pad on the bed and brings it for Rajat to see. The pad had “Mallika” written over it. Rajat notices that the pages inside it were same as the ones on which the threatening letters were sent to UV. Purvi informs about a packed suitcase from which they conclude that Mallika might have been planning to run away. Suddenly, Rajat notices some blood marks on the floor. They wonder whose blood it could be.

Scene 12 – Bureau

Rajat informs ACP that he has informed every check post, railway stations and airport authorities about the girl and that she would not be able to leave the city by any means. He adds that Nikhil has been keeping an eye outside the house, if she comes there again. Right then, the girl enters. She confesses that she was the one who killed UV and wants to surrender, with the hope that she would get less punishment. She says that UV had cheated on her. They had an affair since the last two months but suddenly UV left her without any explanation. ACP asks her how could she have an affair with him since last two years when UV got married 1.5 years back to which she replies that UV had got married just because it was necessary for his career. She hands over the pen, the murder weapon. CID team wonders whether the case was solved already, when ACP says that he feels the girl was lying.
He had noticed her hands which were in a bad state, like those of working maids. The house that they had visited seemed to have belonged to someone rich, but this girl didnt seem to be the one to belong to that house. He orders Purvi to interrogate her.

Scene 13 – Mallika’s interrogation

Purvi is made to interrogate the girl, Mallika, alone. ACP and others kept an eye on them via th cctv camera fitted there. Purvi asks the girl about the shop from where she had bought the pen. The girl fumbled initially and then added that she had taken it from a friend, but she cant take her name. Purvi asks her name again, to which she nervously replied “Mallika”. Purvi then asks her about her favourite cinema hall, to which the girl replies after a bit of hesitation. She answers with “Malprakash”, the one near Babu bajar. Purvi asks her why would she go to such a movie hall, even after being so rich. Purvi further asks her about her location two days ago to which the girl replies Chunavati. She says she had taken a train from Dockyard to which Purvi questions that why would she take a train from Dockyard whereas she herself stays at a far off place. Purvi also asks her about her school. The girl fumbles again and finally says “Balika Vidyalaya”.

ACP concludes that the girl is lying but has given away a lot of true answers during the interrogation. They guess that she must be from or around Dockyard and decide to look there for information about her.

Scene 14 – Around Dockyard

Daya and Vineet search the places around Dockyard. They show Mallika’s photo to people staying there and ask about her. Finally, they find a lady who recognize the girl as Pushpa and take them to her house. The door was found to be open. Daya and Vineet find nothing in the house. The lady tells them that Pushpa used to stay with her blind parents but some men had come in the afternoon and had taken them along. Daya asks if Pushpa’s behaviour since last few days had changed… to which the lady replies that Pushpa was very happy since sometime. She was happy because she had arranged for enough money for her parent’s eye operations.

Scene 15 – Bureau

Purvi is again seen interrogating Pushpa. Before Pushpa could answer anything, she faints and collapses on the ground. Purvi finds blood marks on Pushpa’s hands and finds an injury on her stomach. Abhijeet, Daya, Vineet enter and Purvi tells them about Pushpa’s injury. Purvi and Vineet rush her to the hospital.
Duo discuss among themselves when Sachin comes and says that Pushpa’s parents seem to have been kidnapped. CID team concludes that the mastermind used Pushpa to kill UV. Abhijeet orders them to get information about every house where Pushpa used to work as a maid.

Scene 16 – Pushpa’s neighbour

CID team visits Pushpa’s neighbour, the lady who had recognized Pushpa’s photo the last time. She gives them the list of all houses where Pushpa used to work. Daya is shocked to hear one name.

Scene 17 – At a bunglow

Daya, Vineet and Purvi visit the house where Pushpa used to work. The servant Bholu tells them that memsaab was not at home. On asking whether he had any idea about where she had gone, he replies that memsaab had said she would be going to the farm house at Panvel but had aksed him not to let CID know about it.

Daya asks him for the address of the farm house saying that his memsaab must have not told him to hide that from CID. Innocent Bolu gives them the address.

Scene 18 – Inside a house

Pushpa’s blind parents are tied to the chairs. A girl addresses them from the front. Her face is not visible to us initially. She informs them that there duaghter Pushpa was put behind bars and would be soon hanged for her crime. She orders a boy ( a part of her team) to kill the old couple, but before the boy could finish them off, Daya shoots at his hand. Noticing CID, The girl ( UV’s secretary) runs in one direction and the boy in another direction. Daya chases the boy and catches him, followed by a tight slap across his face. Purvi too chases the secretary and finds her hiding inside a wardrobe and slaps her hard.

Scene 19 – Bureau

The secretary confesses, having used Pushpa in order to kill UV. She wanted to kill UV as he had cheater on her. He had promised to help her become an actress when she had come to the city, but he could do nothing for her. She adds that she isn’t the only one whom UV cheats like this and thus she wanted to take revenge. Abhijeet asks her how she was appointed as his secretary to which she replies that she had blackmailed UV to do so or else she would have gone to the media. She knew everything about him being his secretary and made use of it in the plan. She had promised Pushpa to take good care of her parents if she agrees to kill UV for her. Pushpa had agreed but after the murder she got nervous. The secretary adds that she kidnapped Pushpa’s parents and threatened her to surrender. Abhijeet says that UV might have done wrong, but that doesn’t give her the right to take law into her hands. She will have to face the consequences now.
