Kuch Toh Log Kahenge 8th August 2012 Written Update

Jagan warns Ashu that he will not leave Mallika and she will have to pay for it as the security drags him away. Ashu looks disturbed and Nidhi is upset seeing him like this. She begs Ashu to help Mallika and inform her as she seems to be in grave danger. Ashu calls someone called Dr. Bhatia who works in the hospital Mallika started working in but is told that Mallika left the hospital within 4 days of joining and hasn’t joined anywhere else. Nidhi suggests to try her cellphone but doesn’t get a reply. Both looks very worried. Ashu asks the reception to find out if Mallika is working anywhere. Nidhi urges Ashu to go and look for Mallika before Jagan finds her. Ashu is proud of Nidhi as she is so worried for someone who tried to take her life. He leaves to find Mallika.
RN tells Anji about the house expenses as she has to run the household now. Anji is horrified since she has never run a house before but RN insists that she has to now. Anji wants to add Rs 3, 000 for clothes and cosmetics to the expenses list and they have a slight disagreement on this which upsets Anji and RN tries to explain calmly to her why they need to control their expenses. Anji also apologises and says they will discuss all this once they get back.

Sister gets some files for Nidhi. Nidhi asks her she manages both work and kids. She says that her in-laws manage the kids. She also asks who decided that she would continue her job and Sister says that it is a compulsion for her to work in this expensive era. Nidhi gets thoughtful as the nurse leaves.

Ashu tells everything to Dr. Bhatia and explains why it is vert important for them to find Mallika as she might be in trouble. Dr. Bhatia promises his coorperation.

The doctors are protesting and ask Nidhi to join them as they have complaints against the management. Nidhi refuses saying the administration has no problem with the management. When the doctors leaves, Nidhi tries to call Ashu but his phone is not reachable.

Nidhi goes outside and explains to all those not going on strike that they cannot let the work suffer while Ashu isn’t here. She takes charge and starts working on the patients with the staff’s help.

Ashu, meanwhile, is still trying to find Mallika and is told by the records that Mallika hasn’t switched jobs. He tries her number again but doesn’t get an answer. He wonders where Mallika is.
Nidhi is checking and treating all the patients. Patients enquires about her not being on strike but she says that the patients are more important so she is where she should be, with them.
Jagan, meanwhile, finds Mallika and she screams for Ashu. He starts strangling Mallika but Ashu reaches there and saves her. But he is too late, Mallika dies.

Ashu realises he is only dreaming (Aww, shucks). He is snapped out by the police. They say they will try to find Mallika by tracing her mobile location and give her police protection.

When Ashu reaches, he gets to know about the strike. Ashu is livid at this irresponsibility towards patients. He even says this is illegal. The doctors are shamed but they vow not to work till their demands are fulfilled. Ashu promises that he will talk to the management but they have to get back to work. Nidhi comes outside and tells Ashu that a patient needs to be operated quickly. Ashu rushes inside while the doctors continue to strike.

Ashu takes Nidhi as assistant since all other doctors are on strike. In the OT, Ashu says she did the right thing by deciding to operate. Nidhi is thankful that Ashu kept her in the admin so she couldn’t be dragged into the strike and was there for the patients. He is proud of her.

The operation is successful and the patient’s wife is ever-grateful to Ashu and Nidhi.

Ashu tells Nidhi that he will find someone else for the admin, he wants her to join her internship from tomorrow.

Nidhi is elated by this offer of Ashu and thanks him wholeheartedly promising to give her best. Ashu tells her he is very proud of her. Nidhi wants to ask Ashu something. Ashu gives her a go-ahead and she asks him for two years for her career; she will do whatever he wants after that. Ashu grants her her wish and she is happy (I think that quite reasonable, honestly).

At night, Ashu seems a little lost so Nidhi asks him what he is thinking. He says he wonders where he should give her duty tomorrow. Nidhi is not to convinced since he seems worried but he says this is his responsibility. Nidhi says she thought he was worried about Mallika. Ashu says he will be till he finds her but asks her about the ward again. She says she wants children ward since she loves kids. Ashu looks at her expectantly and she realises what she said.

Precap: Nidhi says he shouldn’t react like this when she talks about kids. Ashu says he can’t help it, what he feels comes on his face. Nidhi says then they can talk about what he feels
