Dining hall
Indu is infuriated by how Sanchi implies that he had to wash the dishes. He’d been lured into this trap and he didn’t even realize it! Hands on hips, he nods his head at Sanchi with a cynical frown ‘I can understand precisely what you’re trying to do…’
Curtly grabbing the sponge and dish soap from her, Indu is about to proceed inside when Veena stops him.
While Sanchi and Tarachand are taken aback by her stance, Veena scolds Sanchi for adressing her husband so disrespectfully ‘He’s never done anything wrong ever since he’s been living here… and you’re returning every good deed of his with cruelty’
Indu looks up at the ceiling allowing Veena to have her say – possibly entertaining the fact that he was enjoying some support amongst the Mathurs!
‘Do you have any respect for this relationship or not?’ Veena questions Sanchi
Swiftly overcoming her bewilderment, Sanchi transforms the situation to her favour with a generous smile ‘Ma…why do you think that I don’t respect this relationship…if I didn’t, do you think I would have cooked for Indu ji? Housework is something that should be shared…if Indu ji himself would like to help me… why are you stopping him?’
Able to perceive how Sanchi was twisting the circumstances, Indu glares at her. She returns his displeased look with a homely smile ‘You haven’t left yet… please go…after doing the dishes there’s plenty of clean-up to do in the kitchen too!’
Tarachand is happy, Veena is not.
The witty girl concludes ‘I’m really tired now…really sleepy…I have to go…’
Following this, she coaxes and nudges Indu with a few more ‘jaayiye jis’, before the frustrated man gives up and makes his way to the kitchen.
Evading Veena’s interrogation, Sanchi takes the empty dishes from the dining table to the kitchen to hand over to Indu.

Kitchen
In the kitchen, Indu looks as lost as a child does in a fair. Not knowing where to start he looks on helplessly at Anita, but she isn’t allowed to assist him either.
‘You haven’t started yet?’ Sanchi asks him, entering with another pile of soiled plates. He stares at her, earnestly wishing he could do something to get out of the quandry.
‘Go on…if not, you’ll spend the entire night here and then blame me for your lack of sleep!’ she tells him. While the disgruntled man continues glaring at her, Sanchi reminds him ‘This work does not get done by just looking’
‘I know WHY you’re doing all this…’ turning to face the tap, he finally speaks up broodingly ‘Just so I don’t get to rest at night…I know…’
Sanchi can’t help but smile.
Just as the girl is about to leave, Indu calls out to her ‘Once I’ve washed the dishes, its your job to wipe them and put them back!’
Sanchi appears aghast. He reveals sternly ‘That’s part of the 50-50 deal’
‘You’re doing all this just so I don’t get rest, right?’ she states with mock-affection
‘Yup!’

The pair then get into bickering of sorts –
He’s barely interested in what he’s doing and the utensils remain unclean. Sanchi chides him for it. He retorts that he had’t completed a Phd in dish-washing and that this wasn’t a tent house!
In order to get back at him, Sanchi then brings over some more vessels and he enquires if she was planning to bring dishes from all over the street for him to clean up.
Later on, while washing up, he splashes about a lot of water and she accuses him of acting uncouth. In turn, he watches the way she was drying the dishes and retaliates with sneering comments too.

Once the entire drama comes to an end, Sanch struts off from the kitchen – but not before implying that Indu had to finish cleaning the rest of the kitchen too! Indu is thoroughly irritated!

The hall
Veena was apparently taking a bowl of kheer to the Tiwaris when her husband had spotted her doing so. When learning of the truth, both Tarachand and Sanchi are obviously not happy by what the mother was turning into.
‘How could you imagine maintaining relations with the very people who’d thrown us off into the streets ma?’ an unhappy Sanchi asks her
However, neither do the father-daughter duo understand the mother’s standpoint and nor does the mother listen to their words.
Eventually, a downcast Sanchi lets go and asks her father to do the same ‘She’ll understand one day, when she’s humiliated by the very people she’s giving respect to’

Tiwari’s room
It comes as no surprise that Radha insults Veena when she visits their room with the bowl of kheer. She shuns the lady away with mean words. Secretively, however, both Radha’s and Sada’s eyes were all over the tasty bowl of pudding Veena’d brought in.
What follows is a disgusting scene – where Radha emotionally blackmails the saddened mother into leaving behind the pudding for Anita’s sake and then snatching the bowl from Anita once Veena had left!

As the greedy couple feed each other the kheer, they talk of how Sanchi had beguiled them into a tasteless dinner that night while the Mathurs had enjoyed a sumptuous one! They exchange their ideas on how they planned to take revenge for all they were going through (What!)
‘We will NOT allow Sanchi to fall for Indu…ever!’ the couple vow.
Unfortunately for them (and fortunately for us) Sanchi was passing by the room, when she overhears their entire plan in conversation.
Basically, the outline of Sadanand and Radha’s plan is to keep the already hostile Indu and Sanchi permanently apart, so that the Tiwaris could succeed in stealing the property papers without being suspected!

Sanchi is appalled on having an insight into how their devilish minds worked. How could a thief ever give up stealing, she wonders. Knowing that the Tiwaris would never rectify their mistakes, she decides SHE had to do something about it.

Sanchi’s room
Walking up to her room with a jug of water, Sanchi mulls on what she’d just come across ‘So, these people don’t want me and Indu to ever unite… just to get back at these people, what if I bring Indu on to my side…wait and watch Sadanand Tiwari, how I plan to dampen your ideas?’

A short while later, a weary Indu dabs his face with a spare towel and knocks on the bedroom door. His face looking in the opposite direction, the man patiently waits for his wife to open the door.
When the door finally does open, is he in for a shock or what!
There she was standing – draped in a transparent while saree with a golden halter neck blouse, her hair flowing, make up et al! Puzzled, he studies her with his eyes transfixed – all the way from her feet to her face!
Eventually, he questions her with a part-sceptical part-amused frown ‘Saree? Now? Do you always turn insane only at night?’ he pauses ‘You do the most ridiculous things at night time!’
Deciding to be indifferent to her new attire, Indu walks past her into the room.
Optimistic, Sanchi smiles to herself and peeps outside – she is able to spot the Tiwaris watching their room. She shuts the door without locking it and then walks back to her husband.

Having taken off his kurta, the exhausted Indu was sitting on the bed – probably hoping for some peace after the ordeal he’d been through in the kitchen!
However, he is in for a startling turn of events when Sanchi sits next to him very affectionately ‘You must be very tired…shall I give you an oil massage?’
Dumbfounded, the poor young man doesn’t even know HOW to react! He looks down, away and in all directions

In the meanwhile, the Tiwaris had managed to tiptoe towards Sanchi’s room and were peeking inside, hoping to avail an opportunity to put their plan into action. However, they are in for a surprise too to see Sanchi all-so-coy with their nephew.

‘You’ll feel releived after a massage!’ Sanchi informs him and gets up to fetch the bottle of oil. Once she’d found it, she resumes her place next to him.
‘What are you doing?’ Indu questions her, embarassed. Not knowing how to brush off her advances, he stands up from the bed and attempts to walk away from her when she pulls him by his hand and back to where she was seated.
‘Where are you going?’ she asks him softly
Beginning her charade, Sanchi starts gently kneading his bare arms and shoulders with her manicured fingers. Needless to say, Indu is gravely uncomfortable – he couldn’t get himself to trust his wife and yet her actions were rousing sensations in him. His eyes following her hands on his body, he watches as she gives him an explanation in a seductive tone ‘Getting vegetables from the market…washing the dishes…I don’t like any of it…’
Indu desperately tries fighting off her roving hands. His voice a nervous stutter, he asks her with a dubious glare ‘W…w…what is going on in your mind?’
Her attention still at the doorway where the Tiwaris were overhearing them, Sanchi moves closer to Indu ‘Today I’m not thinking by mind, but by heart…and my heart’s asking me to have fun…’
Anxious and abashed, Indu hurls her a wary glance and then looks down again. Choosing not to believe her ‘changed’ demeanour, Indu gets up and walks away, yet again!

A short while later, his attention is drawn to the song that Sanchi was now humming. He turns around and he finds his usually sombre-studious wife now transforming into a sexy vixen! There she was – singing a sensual number, gyrating her hips, and twirling joyously – her hair flying around, as she did so. He darts a few nervous glances in her direction – not knowing if he was committing a sin if he glimpsed at her or not. The lively girl on the other hand, toys with him and plays with him – she pushes him away and then pulls him back. Being the gentle giant that he was – Indu doesn’t react beyond a silent stance or a bewildered frown all through! The get involved in a slow dance routine, while he tries NOT to get lost into her gazes.

As he treads away from her once again, Sanchi pulls him back, this time with a new prop – a walking stick. His handsomely stern attempts to shoo her away are only met by her escalating persuasiveness. At one point she climbs on top of the couch and has her arms wrapped around him from behind. Apprehensive of trusting her, he constantly battles her. Nevertheless, she ensues with her intentions – either holding him with her stick or with his towel.

Finally at one point, the lines she sings translate to ‘I am in love with you’
While doing so, she leans down towards the ground and he catches her supportively. Twirling her hair and ear rings, she gets absorbed in the heat of the moment.
Whether co-incidental or not, it is at this point that Indu Singh starts caving in. A gentle smile escapes his lips and he lets her treat him as she wished. Swinging in a circle, he dances with her – now looking into her eyes. Hugging each other, Sanchi and Indu waltz around in the room.

The young man becomes ecstatic – under the impression that his wife did truly love him and now wanted to become his. He walks up to her and hugs her from behind, grazing her hair with his cheeks. However; now that Sanchi had achieved what she’d wanted to, she starts feeling discomforted by Indu’s romantic overtures.
They continue dancing for a while, her hand on his shoulders and his on her hips. He then wraps her within his clasp and is about to come close to her and give her a kiss, but she nudges him and makes him sit on the bed instead. Now uncomfortable, she walks back – but its his turn to approach her. Wanting to live the moment with her, he catches her from behind runs his face on her hair and then twists her around to the tune in an embrace. Her cheeks now hard against his chest, Sanchi grits her teeth and follows the cue.

Ultimately, his lips that are close to her forehead are about to come down to her lips, when she leans away and then pushes him forcefully onto the bed. Her irate glares then reveal the reality behind the drama! Shocked, he sees her mask of romance slip away and the reality unfold!

Precap: Tiwaris are stealing the papers from Tarachand’s bedroom (then why the whole Sanchi drama)
