Pratigya 2nd August 2012 Written Update

KP room : Continues from yesterday’s scene.. P tells K that a Vakil is not like a doctor.. Vakil can choose his case.. can decide whether his client is innocent or guilty.. K asks P how can u doubt Guruma without knowing anything about her… P says I’m not doubting her specifically, but I am against ppl who behave as if they are God and have some divine powers.. such ppl only fool their followers in the name of God & religion.. P says I know that all the accusations against Guruma are not entirely false…hence I totally refuse to accept her case… she goes off into washroom.. K looking upset..

Terrace : K sitting alone in terrace, brooding.. Kml comes up and says why u hiding here.. K tells her to leave, but Kml continues her taunts and says why u always listening to whatever P says.. don’t u have a mind of your own.. P insulted the entire family and Guruma when she refused to take her case.. Guruma did so much for this family.. and now what she must be thinking of us.. K counters saying that why all u ppl are behind P.. is she the only Vakil in the city, why everyone forcing her… if Guruma is feeling insulted, I will go and apologise to her.. Kml says its too late for apologises… informs K that SS’s gurudakshina is, that only P will now fight her case… K stunned..

KP room : GD sitting with P.. trying to brainwash her.. says u are DIL of this family and you have duties towards the family.. u should not go against the family.. Kml and Ksr also come into the room… Kml taunts P saying that P is a truth telling machine.. she has no heart and cannot understand others feelings..she never supports the family.. P looking stunned, defends herself and says I have always supported the family.. Ksr tells P that she supports only when SHE wants to.. advises P and tells her not to do sahi, galat all the time.. sometimes one has to compromise for the family.. Kml turns to Ksr and tells her why u advising P when u too become like her and acting over smart.. Ksr annoyed, gives back to Kml and tells her to mind her behaviour, says u are always taunting others.. GD tells them stop their cat fight.. turns back to P and says that SS’s pride is on the line.. Guruma has demanded for her gurudakshina, that only you should fight her case..P looking perturbed..

GH : Karthik has brought one more prospective groom.. the man says he does not mind that Kml is a widow.. and does not believe in caste …says he too lost his wife recently and knows what Kml is going through.. the man then requests to see Kml.. Prof informs she is gone to maika.. the man asks to see her photo.. he asks who is beside Kml in photo.. Prof says its chinki, Kml’s daughter.. the man upset.. berates Karthik and says why u never informed me that Kml was a mother.. women lose all their looks after they become mother.. Karthik shocked and angry.. tells the man to get out, saying I did not know yr thinking was so cheap.. the man berates him back and says why u soo upset, why don’t u marry her yrself.. he leaves.. Karthik apologises to prof.. says I have no qualms about marrying Kml, but I am of very low caste.. I wouldn’t dare to think of marrying a Thakur.. Prof stunned..

TN hall : K trying to convince SS.. tells SS that P does not believe in superstition, she is not convinced about Guruma’s innocence then how can she fight her case.. you can get another Vakil for Guruma, why u dancing to her tune.. why is Guruma insisting that only P should fight her case, is this how a holy person behaves..SS annoyed, says I don’t care.. P has to fight the case.. P is always against the family… K denies and says only recently she saved the family from Lochan trouble.. SS adamant.. he calls all the family members to the hall.. asks each one in turn whether P should fight guruma’s case or not.. KN, Ksr, Kml, GD all agree that she should since Guruma has helped their family a lot and now they should help her in return… SS adds himself to the count and tells K that its five versus two.. now who is against the family… K silenced.. P perturbed..

Suddenly Smr pipes up and says maa is always correct in her decisions and I support her.. all stunned.. Ksr tells Smr not to get involved in elders’ convo… but chinki too speaks up and says she is with samar and aunty P.. Pys too says that she is with P as P helped her a lot… K happy .. tells SS that its now five against five..
P then speaks up and tells everyone that not to misunderstand her.. she is always for the family and will fight for her family till her last breath.. just bec she is not supporting Guruma it does not mean that she is against the family.. K supports her and tells SS that you go ahead and help Guruma if it is so important to you, just don’t insist that P take her case.. any other good Vakil can do it… just then KN’s phone rings.. he listens to the person on the other end and is shocked.. informs everyone that guruma has been arrested.. all shocked..
