Kuch Toh Log Kahenge 1st August 2012 Written Update

Ashu and Nidhi are feeding each other. Ashu feels Nidhi worked extra to get back at him but Nidhi requests him not to get work at home. Ashu also assures her that he rejected her idea because it was not medically fit. Then Nidhi gets tired and wants to go to bed. They share a cute romantic moment.
Next morning, RN, Anji and his parents are praying and her mother-in-law is so impressed that she asks Anji to do pooja every morning. RN tells his parents that there is a seminar on pooja in Sri Lanka where he wants to take Anji.
Jyotika asks Nidhi for a file but Nidhi is a little busy so asks her to wait a bit. She tells her not to forget because the patient needs to be discharged. Nidhi tells Jyotika that it is her Nana’s and Ashu’s birthday but asks her to keep it a secret especially from Ashu himself. Jyotika reminds her once again about the file.
Later, an employee comes and asks for another file and she asks him to wait too. And she gets lost in her thoughts.
She calls Anji up and they discuss their eventful day. She tells Nidhi that she and RN are going to Sri Lanka. Nidhi asks Anji to come with RN to her place at 12 midnight for Ashu’s birthday. Just then RN comes and Nidhi hangs up. Nidhi continues making her calls when the employee asks again and once again she asks him to wait.
Baba comes to Ashu’s cabin and the latter is a bit surprised to see him. Baba wants to discuss about his birthday but Ashu hushes him since he doesn’t want anyone to know specially Nidhi because she makes a big deal out of birthdays. But he doesn’t like his sleep getting spoiled at 12 at night Ashu also doubts Nidhi remembering his birthday and asks Baba not to tell her either. He doesn’t want to celebrate his birthday. Baba still wants to gift him something. Ashu says it is his birthday too so what he wants. Baba asks for a CD set and Ashu asks for a tie set. But Ashu asks him not to tell Nidshi anything.
Baba sees Nidhi talking on the phone and tries to escape but she sees him. She questions him about being at Kotnis and Baba has to make some excuse. Nidhi seems suspicious but doesn’t say anything.
Nidhi calls DB as well and invites her and Yuvraj as well and asks her to keep it a secret.
Ashu comes to Nidhi’s cabin and sees her on phone. He seems angry ‘coz Nidhi hasn’t given the file yet. She finally gives it to him and they have a cute little argument. Ashu leaves annoyed and Nidhi grins triumphantly.
In the car, Nidhi tries to initiate a conversation. Ashu still seems a little pissed but not seriously angry. Nidhi manages to make him smile a bit though he immediately straightens his face.
At the dinner table, Baba asks Nidhi of her next day’s plans and she gives a usual list of routine. Ashu tells Baba ‘I told you so’. Nidhi pretends to be oblivious to the same and Baba makes an excuse of the patient. They have a conversation in a way it seems like it is about the patient but Nidhi knows that she is the ‘patient’.
At night, Ashu is looking at Nidhi for hints but she doesn’t drop any and pretends to go to bed at 9pm Ashu isn’t sleepy though and they manage to have an argument on that as well. Ashu seems slightly irritable and Nidhi pretends to want to help but obviously Ashu doesn’t tell her anything. He also goes to bed and they both pull up the covers but neither of them can sleep. Nidhi slides out of the bed.
Nidhi is decorating the house with balloons and streamers and candles. By 1130, the house is ready and she goes inside.
DB is trying to stay awake but in vain. Yuvraj doesn’t seem to have a problem though. He advises her to sleep but she can’t since they need to go to Nidhi’s. Yuvraj says she can talk to him in the morning but DB can’t say no to Nidhi for the surprise.
Nidhi, all dressed up for the party, wakes Ashu up with a kiss on his forehead and wishes him Happy Birthday. Ashu wakes up pleasantly surprised.

Precap: Ashu asks Nidhi if she can spare time for something he has planned for her. Nidhi says provided it is romantic enough to compel her to come. Ashu accepts the challenge
