[V] The Buddy Project 31st July 2012 Written Update

Episode starts in Princi’s office. Princi asks KD and Piddi to wait outside. Out there, Piddi is scared that Banga will do all in his power to punish them. KD mockingly tells him to teach Banga a lesson (“ghaar de usse”) but Piddi says that Banga’s voice will come from his grave saying, “Punish them!” In the office, Banga is telling Princi that this time they can’t be excused as he has got proof. One of the students has seen them in Princi’s office. Princi again says that these are kids, not criminals. Banga rolls his eyes. Princi continues that they should be dealt with in a mature way rather than giving out proofs for their misdeeds. Banga doesn’t pay heed and says that there is a thin line between childishness and crime (he looks like a huge Gumrah fan to me ) and after this kidnapping they have crossed that line. Princi asks him what should he do. Banga takes out a suspension notice for KD and Piddi stating that they should be suspended for two months. Princi says no deal as the exams are in 2 1/2 months and suspension is not an option. But Banga is insistent on it.

Outside, KD is sitting casually on the sofa and Piddi is pacing nervously. He says that someone must have tattled on them. KD says he knew who did it. Piddi immediately says, “Kareli!” ( kya naam diya hai Kiya ko!) KD says she has no idea what is in store for her. He looks really serious when he says this. Piddi is really nervous about Banga but KD calms him down saying that the victim isn’t here, at most they will only warned.

Princi informs to send them in the class as he needs time to think about the suspension decision. Banga is mad but Princi says he can’t take a huge decision like this without thinking as the future of the student’s is at stake. Banga scolds them a little and tells them that the decision will be taken tomorrow. When he walks away, KD is relieved that JJ didn’t tell Princi about them and now JJ must be off somewhere far away.

JJ is in the taxi and gets a call from Naina Maa. They have some sweet convo with Naina Maa asking him to take care of himself, not to work too much and before finalising a girl, send them her photograph (awwwiiieee!! Naina Maa is sooo SWEET!!!) JJ reaches the airport and says his farewell to which Naina Maa says, “Jaata hun nahin, aata hun!” (don’t say, I am going. Say, I’ll be back). JJ says ok and disconnects as he reaches the airport.

Kiya walks in the classroom where some boys are standing in front of the blackboard, laughing while looking at her. She walks to them. On the board, there is a cartoon made of her. She is shocked and embarrassed. KD is sitting in front of everyone playing with the chalk. She walks to him and says I don’t believe you did something like this. By doing this childish act, you have proved your standards. KD asks what are his standards. Kiya replies, “ghatiya!” KD says that he does everything openly unlike her. Kiya says this is your revenge, this cartoon. KD replies, it’s not a cartoon, it’s reality. He mocks her by saying, what am I? Am I a topper? No. Am I a good singer? No idea. Am I someone’s friend? No chance. Who am I? Just some pop star’s sister, nothing more. (he is saying this all in a way as if she is saying them, using the female verbs rather than male). Kiya is very hurt by his words. She retorts by asking, who are you? Nothing but a worm living in some chawl who can do anything for money. Teacher comes in and everyone rushes to their seats except KD and Kiya who are standing as the teacher walks to them. Teacher rebukes Kiya’s way of speaking and lectures her about her family and sister’s reputation. Kiya’s starts to say something about KD but the teacher cuts in saying that KD doesn’t care. He will top again and get scholarship next year but Kiya will stay back again. The bell rings and the teacher walks out. KD glares angrily at Kiya and walks out. The students follow him. Kiya is left alone and she is near tears.

Juhi and Panchi are walking in the corridor and someone is stalking them. As they are talking, someone comes from behind and snatches Panchi’s bag and runs away. Juhi follows him crying, “chor chor!” But Panchi says it’s not a thief, it’s Ranveer. He has again taken my tiffin and runs behind him. In the canteen, Ranveer is standing by the pillar, hiccupping. Panchi walks to him and he asks for water but she takes her stuff from him and sits on the table. Two girls come to Ranveer and offer him water. He takes the water and flirts with the girls a little. Panchi is all but rolling her eyes at the scene. Ranveer sits with her. Panchi says that he won’t ever learn as he is always at the wrong place at the wrong time. All these girls, pranks and my tiffin. Ranveer rolls his eyes and reaches up to her sandwich but she doesn’t give it to him. A girl comes to him and offers him a muffin. They have this playful flirting session with the muffin and Panchi glares at them angrily. She stands up and leaves after saying, “I hate you Ranveer Shergill!” Ranveer just laughs and asks for the sandwich before she leaves. (and I die there . lemme regain my life)

JJ is at the airport and he can’t find his passport. He remembers putting his passport in the coat and that it fell down as he jumped off the window. He is frustrated and doing this self talk about it. He brings the camera closer (haila! Ye bhi! ) and says that he shouldn’t have gone to RA as RA means trouble for him. A scene is shown that the passport in carried off with the rest of other dump. JJ is in the taxi talking to Sara that he has worked too hard for this promotion and he won’t let it go because of a stupid passport. She asks him to calm down. He just says that he will be back in time. JJ has FBs of the Royal Junglees and says angrily that if he finds them, they are gone.

KD is in his chawl and he stops in front of a house from where the voice of a man beating a boy is coming. KD grips his bag angrily as the man beats the child for stealing while being a policeman’s son. A young boy runs out of the house, crying. KD follows him and hugs him to calm him down. The boy calls KD “dada” (elder brother) and says he didn’t steal. KD calms him down and says why didn’t he tell that to Baba (father)? The boy says he never listens. A man in a constable’s uniform comes and says sternly to the boy to return the gameboy to its original owner as he doesn’t want stolen things in his house. KD says the boy to return it and he will buy him a new one. The man says angrily, how? We are poor people and all this is rich people stuff. We should learn to stay within our reach. KD says angrily if I had to stay within my status, I wouldn’t be in RA but in some government school. The man says he should’ve gone there. You are an honest policeman’s son and that’s all he can do for him. But nothing is enough for him. KD glares at his father angrily. A police jeep comes and the man goes away. KD hugs his crying brother.

Kiya’s mother is talking to some man on the phone. After she is done, she scolds Kiya that because of her Pungi prank video the organizers have reduced Anya’s rates. Kiya says that it’s not her fault but she is cut across by her mother. She scolds her and says that Kiya is always responsible for trouble in her sister’s life. She grounds Kiya for a week and walks away. Kiya is hurt and sad. She says angrily that she hates everyone specially stoneface.

Panchi is sittin in the garden talking happily on the phone with her mother. Ranveer’s car stops in the porch and she disconnects. Ranveer walks to her calling her Moti but she shows him her hand angrily but he hi fives her. She stands behind her and says that I know you are upset but help me out for the last time. He pleads really sweetly and she gives in. He asks her to set him up for a dinner date with a girl by lying that it’s her birthday as the girl’s parents are very strict. She says she doesn’t like to lie but he always makes her do so. She thought suspension news might affect him a little but he won’t ever learn. Ranveer becomes serious about this and asks her about it. She says that Banga knew about KD and Piddi’s involvement in the kidnapping and that the decision will be announced tomorrow. Ranveer is angry and says that he should’ve known KD’s plans always flop.

Naina Maa is all chilled about JJ’s kidnapping but Princi is worried that the students might be suspended. NM says that Princi is showing Banga’s color because it wasn’t anything big. Princi says that Piddi and KD kidnapped JJ to approve their demands. He thought that some talk would’ve made them understand like JJ but no. NM calms him down. She says that today’s kids are playing with computers in the age when we used to play with dolls. These kids live in a limitless generation. They are exposed to so many things, nothing is right and wrong for them. Everything is just cool. Princi says that he thought JJ’s lecture might change them a little but even that door is closed. NM says when one door closes, another opens. Just then, JJ walks in. NM is all happy and excited. JJ says that he lost his passport that’s why he is back. NM becomes more excited and asks for his dinner plans but JJ is worried that he has to go back as a job is waiting for him. He says that he might’ve lost his passport during the jump. Princi assures him that if it’s in school, they will find it. JJ is really worried and says its all because of those students and they shouldn’t be forgiven. Make them pay for this as they deserve punishment! Princi is shocked.

Precap: Piddi is with Bobby and Bobby is threatening him that when the punishment will be announced, he will be dead. Piddi assures her that JJ is gone. Just then, JJ walks in the school. KD, Piddi, Samar, Bobby and Ranveer are together and Piddi is all worried that they should’ve thought before the kidnapping. And now they are stuck. JJ catches them. All are shocked.
