Uttaran 4th July 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Damini telling Meethi not to call her Anni either if she’s ashamed to call Icha her mother.
She said I can be proud to say I’m Icha’s mother. She’s Damini’s daughter, a servant’s daughter.
She says what are you ashamed of? Someone told you, your mother’s hands have murder on them and you’re ashamed?
What have you seen in this life?
The wounds that you haven’t even seen, you’re ashamed of them?
You don’t even realize how deep your mother’s wounds are.
The woman, my daughter, that you’re ashamed of… why she did this? what was her need to murder… did you try and find out?

Meethi says, whatever tje reason or need, a murderer is a murderer!
Damini yells, YES, she’s a murderer. She has murdered someone. She killed a monster named Avinash… to save your brother.
Kanha also says, Mayya saved me from my Mama Avinash and killed him.
Icha gives Kanha her ‘qasam’ not to say a word after that!! (UGH Icha, WHEN WILL YOU LEARN?) Kanha goes quiet.

Damini says, Meethi you’re 18 yrs old… whatever you asked for in these 18 years, we got for you. Every wish of yours was fulfilled.
Why did we do all that for you?
Your mother wanted every wish of yours fulfilled… and today you’ve put her in the court.
Your mother has never taken anything from anyone… only given!
She even gave you to me.
You were born in the first year of jail. She told me that her past shouldn’t come on her daughter’s life. You should never be told that your mother is in jail for a murder.
Damini says, she’s not a criminal… she just killed a monster to save a kid.

Meethi says, but still, I was her only daughter, she left me after giving birth, didn’t she?
Damini says, LEFT YOU? Where did she leave you? In an orphanage?
What are you trying to say? What could she have done?? Brought you up in jail? Where would your future be then?
Try and understand your mother’s pain… who kept you apart from herself for 18 years… she gave you a new life… so no one can tell her daughter that she’s the daughter of the unfortunate woman who killed someone once.
She made herself nameless, so you got a new name, a new identity… and you’re blaming her??
She was being blamed for murder because there was no proof of her innocence (referring to Veer’s lost memory here, but not actually saying it).

She said, I’m her mother… I’ve been with her in good times and bad and I am telling you my daughter is innocent. She was innocent yesterday and she’s innocent today! Damini is crying.
She says you don’t trust me, but you trust that Mukta and her bari nani.
She’s about to tell Icha-Taps story when Icha stops her.
She says babyji and Ichki were the best of friends… but your mother never snatched anything from babyji.
Icha stops her again… says I don’t want to tell her the full truth of my life to my daughter. She stops Damini. Damini keeps crying and says no.
Damini says see? Even today she’s not letting us tell you the truth about your past so it doesn’t shadow your present.
She NEVER snatched anything from babyji.
Meethi remembers Nani’s words about Icha snatching away everything, including her true love, from Tapasya!

I know Mataji very well. She gave you some mud in your hands so you can throw it in your mother’s face.
How would she understand my daughter?

See your brother Kanha… he isn’t even born from your mother… but he respects her so much! Did you ever think why?
Meethi says, no I didn’t think that and I don’t want to think that either. I only know that my mother is a murderer and I’m a murderer’s daughter… whom not just me but the whole society hates.

Damini says you’re too young yet… you always listen to your Anni… I’m telling you your mother is a ‘devi’. I’m not just saying it cuz she’s my daughter… just look at her…
Just give her one hug… she’s been waiting for this moment for 18 years.
Damini wants Meethi to say sorry to Icha and hug her…

Meethi says, whatever you’re saying today… if it’s the truth, then why did you hide this truth from me for so many years?
All of you don’t know how bad I felt… how hurt I am…
What has this woman given me? A mother-less life? I don’t consider her my mother… and I never will.
Damini/Icha/Kanha shocked.
She says this woman doesn’t deserve to be called my mother. I hate her… did you hear me Anni and Bhayya? She doesn’t deserve to be called my mother. Meethi goes away.
Damini is thinking who should I go to now? The daughter or the grand-daughter?

Mukta gets a call from Aman and tells him not to call her. Aman asks her why she’s punishing him.
She says, you’re punishing me… you don’t love me, you love Meethi. You worry about her more than me.
Aman says, I told you before, I only helped her that night…
Mukta says, if you worry about her so much, why don’t you send her the gifts? Why did you send them to me?
Aman says what gifts?? Mukta says don’t act now… Aman says I don’t know what gifts you’re talking about. I’ve only given you a card and a rose… she says then the watch and the dress?
He says I don’t know which watch and dress are you talking about!!
Mukta thinks if he didn’t send me then who did?
She remembers the card “See you in the evening” on the dress and remembers Yuvi coming to pick her up for Aman’s coffee date. She realised that Yuvi’s the one sending her gifts.

Yuvi says to Mai, you’re all fasting and I will eat??
Mai says, that’s the tradition… Mai says, I kept the fast for your father… Amla acts she’s about faint as she’s kept the fast.
Yuvi asks her to have some fruit…
Amla says so what if I’m not your real mother… I still kept the fast whole day… Yuvi gets upset and says never say after today that you’re not my real mother… my real mother left me like a stranger… now if she keeps a fast for me or not, it doesn’t matter.
I hate her, and will keep hating her.
And choti ma, whether you keep the fast for me or not, I will still consider you my real mother. He gets up to go.

Umed stops him… and says I think the time has come to tell you the truth about your mother! The mother that you hate.
Gunwanti tries to stop him from saying anything… but Umed says, don’t try to stop me Gunwanti. I want to talk to Yuvraj. Right now!
Doorbell rings right then and Mukta is at the Bundela’s doorstep!!
Yuvraj is surprised to see her there.

Precap: Damini is telling Icha, again what you did today was for Meethi… Icha says, any mother would have done it… but I am sad that I couldn’t become like my Ammo.
