Tejal and Aniket are having a friendly conversation, and they actually look quite comfortable in each other’s company . When he’s about to leave, Tejal apologizes for hurting him, and tells him she’ll wear those Punjabi dresses for his sake. Aniket replies that she needn’t wear them because she hurt him, but to wear them for the sake of wearing. He leaves, but not before telling her that she’s got artists’ fingers (long fingers) and Tejal keeps thinking about his words.
Nikhilesh and Babu Bhai and their families have gathered in the living room, and something’s cooking! Nikhilesh puts on an act, to get Shashwat’s attention, that Babu Bhai is an ace at palmistry. Foram plays along, and calls him a Nostradamus. Shashwat joins the conversation, and says that Nostradamus didn’t need to read palms to look into the future, and that Babu Bhai “sees” through the lines on the hand (rekha) and proceeds to inform everyone that Rekha is a Bollywood thespian, who’s now a member of the Rajya Sabha which is in Delhi, and further adds that Delhi used to be called Hastinapur during the Mahabharat era, and was Duryodhan’s capital. He concludes by saying nobody has named their son Duryodhan in ages!
Babu Bhai continues, but goofs up when he gets Nikhilesh’s date of birth wrong. Shashwat takes the bait and asks Babu Bhai to read his palm (just what everyone else had been hoping he’d say) Everyone wants to find out when and to whom will Shashwat get married, but Mr.Know-It-All is indeed smart. He asks Babu Bhai to reveal his blood group and date of birth *oopsie!* With a bit of help from the rest of the family, he manages to come up with the right answer, O. Shashwat asks him to answer the next question, his date of birth. Nikhilesh tells Vinoy, “Tu hi bata; mujhe to sirf acchhe din hi yaad rehte hain.” (sic)
And again, with a little help and some clues, Babu Bhai manages to get it right, and says it’s the 13th of April. Shashwat is impressed, and wants to know about his marriage. He’s told his life is linked to a girl whose name begins with M. Shashwat blushes, thinking about Monikangna. But here comes the twist. Babu Bhai tells him that they’re linked in a way that they can’t get married, and that Shahswat will be marrying a girl thirty-six years older than himself, and her daughter’s name starts with M. *Poor Shashwat..for once, his family had a laugh at his expense.* Everyone speculates about his marriage to Monikangna’s mother and pulls his leg! He all but bursts into tears when he finds out they were joking! *Big baby! But oh so cute!*
The ladies bring in some snacks for them to dig in, and Sushila asks her father if he’s brought the costumes for everyone, and specially Aniket. Her father replies in affirmative, and you can hears the laughter and chatter of a happy family as they all settle down to eat .
The scene shifts to Tejal’s place. They’re watching some match on the TV, and Lalitaben brings a tray laden with food. But she refuses to let Tejal take a bite, and instead asks her to cook for herself. They have a little argument, and Tejal cracks a joke about her burning an entire house down while trying to cook halwa . LalitaBen doesn’t allow Gulab Chand to eat either, but relents on one condition. She hands Tejal a few Punjabi dresses and tells her to try them on, if she wants a morsel of food. *Wah Wah!*
Tejal replies, that it’s a stupid bargain. She would worn those dresses anyway, since she’d promised the singing salesman she would! She walks away, laughing, that she’ll have a great time being spoon-fed by her aunt while watching the cricket match telecast on TV.
At the Mazumdar Mansion, Sushila’s parents call it a day. Sushila runs towards Aniket, and notices a bump on his forehead, and panics. Aniket explains what happened, calmly. Sushila is still frantic and rushes to give him first aid, but he says he’s feeling better already. He takes the clothes from her and tells her he’ll freshen up and be downstairs shortly.
Meanwhile, Tejal’s family is waiting anxiously while she takes her sweet time to dress up. A similar scene is played in Mazumdar Mansion. Nikhilesh cracks some joke about Foram and Jignesh, which I couldn’t see because my video was loading tooo slowly today.
Aniket appears before them, dressed like a Moghul prince , and Sushila exclaims that they have to find an Anarkali for their handsome Salim ASAP. Tejal’s family is awestruck when she walks out of her room, dressed in a lovely salwar-kameez, which highlights her curves and gives her a soft, feminine look . While her aunt can’t stop complimenting her beauty, Tejal takes her by the arm and starts stuffing herself with the food!
The Mazumdar family are raving about Aniket’s handsomeness, and Nikhilesh enacts a scene from Mughal-e-Azam, and Samyukta comments that her Salim’s love story will be beautiful, not tragic, and that she will find him his Anarkali soon. Aniket gets a call, and announces to his family that LalitaBen purchased all five dress sets that he’d shown her, and that he’s fulfilled his goal of earning 10,000 INR. Everyone’s ecstatic!
PRECAP: Aniket arrives at Tejal’s house, and sees her in the salwar-kameez, and compliments her. She blushes slightly
