Ek Doosre Se Karte Hai Pyaar Hum 13th June 2012 Written Update

The episode opens with Aniket chasing the guy who’s stolen his bag of materials. After a bit of a chase on a busy road, Aniket manages to catch up with him, and starts pleading. The robber feels something that’s partly pity and partly stupidity on his part, and walks away, leaving Aniket with his bag. *Phew!*

At the Mazumdar Mansion, Nikhilesh is demonstrating to Sushila, the uses of a vacuum cleaner. Sushi is on cloud nine, and shouts out to Samyukta happily, that her ‘jhaadu-poche ki automatic machine’ has arrived . Shashwat is well, Shashwat! Do you think he’d let go of an opportunity to tease his Bhabhi? And this time his train runs from “vacuum cleaner” to “cleaner in Egyptian” to “pyramid” to his “uncle’s pet dog, Pyramid.” Foram pretends to be busy referencing from a book, whereas Nikhilesh chases his geeky son!

Samyukta silences her noisy family, and proceeds to talk about her friend, Menaka, who lives in Mumbai, and is considering Aniket for her daughter, Anushka. Sushila’s face lights up! The lady in discussion is, apparently, going to visit Ahmedabad soon, and Samyukta is considering having an informal meeting at their place. Nikhilesh asks her to release Sushi from the ‘statue’ command that Samyukta had set her in, so she could speak without being interrupted . Rightly so, the moment Sushila opens her mouth, she starts talking in a feverishly happy tone, and is all set to practising dance moves for Aniket’s baaraat!

Samyukta tells the family, that she has a very good feeling about this. If not Anushka, there might be another girl destined for Aniket. But whatever the outcome may be, she’s certain, things are going to look bright and cheery for her boy

The next scene shows Tejal’s aunt setting herself a challenge, that she will make her niece marriage material, so that the latter can get her dream mum-in-law. Bechari Tejal .. while on one hand, she definitely wants a motherly mom-in-law; one the other hand, she’s visibly irritated with the way her aunt is treating her

Her aunt has got tickets ready for their journey to Ahmedabad that very day. But Tejal makes up the excuse of her birthday coming up NEXT MONTH to evade the trip! Her explanation being, since she’d stuffed herself with delicacies and other foods at all of her buddies’ birthdays, she can’t escape from treating them on her own special day. *Trust this girl to stick to her plans and the stubbornness of her mind.* But her aunt’s not one to take it lying down. She tells Tejal aka Ali Baba to invite her forty thieves over for a party at their place after an hour. No sooner did she mention the forty thieves, than Tejal’s friends come over. She tells them, they’ll be celebrating Tejal’s birthday in advance, and gives them some money to buy her a present (Punjabi clothes)

After the kids leave, the aunt tells Tejal, that they’ll leave for Ahmedabad after the party. The poor girl looks towards her dad, but he cannot or rather doesn’t want to stand up to his sister . Tejal goes to her room to pack her bags *Something tells me, she’s hatching plans already!* Her dad and aunt exchange their surprise at Tejal’s acceptance of the situation.

There’s a cute scene at the Mazumdar Mansion, where Foram and Shashwat are trying to get out of the house without being caught by Sushi, but get caught by their mom . Shashwat comes up with a hilarious explanation, but their mum knows they’re going to meet Monikangna, no matter what excuse they give . Just as they’re about to leave, Sushila comes running out to meet them. She hands Foram a huge lunch box, and tells them to have fun. But she sees through their lie and busts them! She tells Samyukta these two are going out to practise their dance for their parents’ wedding anniversary. A beaming Samyukta and exuberant Sushila send them off .

Aniket is requesting a watchman to let him in, but the latter keeps refusing. There’s a cute Lab barking *What the hell is a poor dog doing outside in that tormenting heat?? Oppression! Mere Doggy bhai-behen, rise in protest!*, and Aniket kneels down and fondles the dog, Rocky *aww!* and once again requests the watchman to let him in. He also says, that he (Aniket) won’t jeopardize the watchman’s job, and the latter agrees.

Aniket is shocked to see Monikangna opening the door . She lets him in. Just as he’s about to explain, Shashwat and Foram arrive, and try to cover up their embarrassment by telling Moni that their brother’s there to enquire about them, if they’ve had their lunch. Aniket gets the point, and plays along. Shashwat sends him away, but not before Moni clears the situation, and insists on taking a look at Aniket’s wares. The twins, specially Shashwat, are not pleased, but Moni decides to buy four pieces. But Mr.Know-It-All has to step in with his loud mouth *How can someone go from being intelligent to downright stupid and insensitive? Foram does seem the more sensible of the two* He drives the point across to Aniket, that his girlfriend is buying his wares, because she feel sorry for him. And since Aniket is not one to wallow in self-pity, he takes back the clothes and leaves from there. *Feeling a strong urge to make handprints on Shashwat’s face, though I half-heartedly agree with him.*

As he’s leaving, he hears them talk about preparing for their parents’ wedding anniversary party, and wishes them luck *What wouldn’t I give to have a brother like him! Ah, the musings of the sibling-less!*

Precap: Tejal and her friends are celebrating her birthday (in advance), and the chirpy girl tells everyone she’s going to show them a magic trick, and goes upstairs to her room to get her magic wand. A while later, the aunt follows her, but finds the room vacant. However, she sees something and is astonished.
