Bhim tries to wake Rama but she does not respond, Shoba gives a pot of water to Bhim who starts sprinkling it to Rama asking her to sit up, Meghnath says that Bhim forced his wife to sell the newspaper so she got weak, and the problem is that she can neither eat nor drink as they must first search for a student, he says what if his wife Rama Bai dies while he keeps searching for the student Bhim is really furious hearing the words of Meghnath, Bhim asks Rama to hear their suggestion and eat something, Meghnath also says if Rama believes someone would come to study then will die, he explains it is also for them all to learn that the one who talks of education dies in the same manner. Meghnath leaves with his men, Ramji also asks Rama to have something along with Bhim but Rama refuses saying Meghnath said that the one who gets or gives education will die of hunger so she has to prove it wrong. Rama tries to leave, Bhim explains he will not lie but her helplessness will outweigh their desire to do good so she should eat something, Jokhu blames them for acting as they first vowed to not eat while then Bhim will say it is not right to stay hungry after which they will even eat and then keep acting. Jija Bai says Jokhu is seeing it for the first time but she has seen it all her life, Shoba says Jija Bai should say if she never felt that her husband should also talk in the same manner and she felt that her husband should also talk with her in the same manner but her husband turned out to be different, he was so greedy that he did not have any place for love. Jija Bai says her husband is also strange but Meera says Jija Bai is the one who is strange,

Ramji says Rama understands the words of Bhim then should think of his feelings and eat something, Rama gets worried when Shishupal says they both should stop the desire to not eat and even says Shamla must also eat something after which they will fight. Rama says that just as Bhim cannot bear her helplessness then all of his struggles feel like her own and if one even gives their life for the struggle then it does not mean much, they are just staying hungry. Shamla mentions the women think that if they do something then it might lead to the result, this is just a way that what Bhim and Shishupal desire should happen.Rama says if she had enough strength then would have made sure all of his dreams become the reality of the people but neither does she have the strength nor the place, but is able to stay hungry which he should let her do, they all keep looking at her. Rama walks back into the house. Meera tells Bhim that if he wants Shamla and Rama to eat then should go and search for those people who are ready to study, Jija Bai questions where will he find such people before laughing. Bhim however gets adamant.

Rama is preparing in the room when Karuna asks if Rama would not go to work, Jija Bai says to Karuna this is the cleverness of such women who try to be good and she will not eat, while stay peacefully at the house but Bhim will work and search for the person whom he can teach. Rama says they both would not learn to talk after looking, Karuna asks Rama to come to work as she will see her actions. Jija Bai it is her misbehavior, Rama replies she will see how a lot of women are standing in front of her, as she stopped eating while being a wife but would go to work as an employee and she has to be a nice person. Rama leaves the room when both Karuna and Jija bai are furious.

Shishupal is trying to explain the need of education but the person asks Shishupal to not come again and again but leave, Meghnath comes asking what is Shishupal trying to say and warns him to not force anyone while telling the person to beat Shishupal if he comes again. Shishupal goes to pick the stick from the door, before bringing it to the person can beat him.

The person says Bhim can beat them but not ask them to seek education as what would they do of it, Bhim gets worried thinking about the sentiment of the people before walking away.

Shishupal tells Meghnath he first got injured by his men then the people of the officer so Meghnath can get him tortured even more, he says even if all the sticks of the world use their force but even then they would find a way and the best thing about the struggle is that it gives them good result and he is sure he will get the result along with Bhim Rao.

The people of the upper class bring a women who is requesting for two more days to return the money, Meghnath questions why did she take the money when she could not return it, the women says he loaned the amount at one percent but then is asking for it at two percent, the women says she cannot read so how can she say what was written at that time. Shishupal helps the women stand up, he tries to explain this is why he is requesting them all to learn while he knows his father first commits something then hires a lawyer, saying this is why he is searching along with Bhim Rao to find such people who can understand the meaning of education.

Bhim Rao is walking when the person stops him saying that his son works in Pune and sends them a letter, but they have not found anyone who can read it for them and cannot say it to the people of the upper class, Bhim says this is why he is requesting everyone to study but the mother refuses to learn saying they will only get ten more letters like this so should they learn, Bhim reads it saying it says that their son said he has been admitted in the hospital three days ago and if he does not return after two days then they should know he has died, Bhim says that four days have passed due to which the mother is not able to bear it so sits on the floor crying, Bhim looks at them in shock as they both are crying, Rama coming says their son is still alive, she mentions Bhim is lying bur will now tell the truth which they both need to understand, Bhim says in the letter it is written that their son is going to come and is even ready for marriage, the mother asks why did he lie so Rama replies because if such a letter comes next time then they should be able to read it on time, Bhim says that such a situation can come in their life at any time, Rama replies they should think before replying. The parents are tensed.
