The Episode starts with Sita saying you have felt Dasharath’s loss and sorrow when you hugged Jatayu, right. Ram says sometimes I feel you are my heart. Sita says you are there in my heart. Ram holds her. He says I didn’t know how so many years passed in this jungle. Shurpnakha comes and looks on. Sita says sometimes, I feel this vanvas is a blessing, if we were in Ayodhya, then you would have not got time to spend with me. Ram says you have handled my promise and Dharm yatra. Shurpnakha smiles seeing Ram. Sita ties Ram’s hair. Shurpnakha says who is this Divya man, who has won my heart, he is handsome, I m sure he is Ram and she is Sita, Raavan had sent me to Dandak with a hope, I can find the hope getting fulfilled, its time to keep my promise to Raavan, I will separate Ram and Sita forever. Sita says I will cook food. Ram nods. Sita goes.
Shurpnakha says Raavan will get Sita and I will get Ram. She takes disguise of a beautiful woman. She goes to Ram. Ram asks are you lost in this jungle. She says I have found my destination now, I heard a lot of stories of your bravery, I have seen you today and felt your Divya powers, your looks, your bright face and this sweet smile, it can win anyone’s heart. He asks her to introduce herself. She says you are my desire, is it not enough that I m a beautiful woman and you are the best man, our love will become our introduction, you can see my motive in my eyes. Ram turns away. She says I like the men who are tough to find, I hear you are powerful and smart, you know I m attracted to you, I want to get you and become yours. He goes away and says I don’t want to insult your love, sorry, I can’t become yours. She says don’t say that, I found someone suitable for me after years. He says you are not lacking anything, but I m married. Sita comes. Ram asks her to come. He says she is my wife, Janak Nandini Sita.
Shurpnakha says kings are permitted to keep many wives, I have no problem. He says I m not a King. She says I m Raavan’s sister Shurpnakha, Khar and Dushyant are my brothers, you will become Dandak’s King after marrying me, I will become your queen, if you want, I will give my maid’s position to Sita. Ram says sorry, I have no greed for the Rajya and throne, try to understand, I have sworn to have one wife, respect my Dharm and Maryada. Shurpnakha says refusing a woman’s proposal is Adharm, will you do this sin. Ram says Dharm comes before Kaam, your proposal has Kaam and my refusal has Dharm. Shurpnakha stares at him and smiles. she asks who is he. Ram says he is my younger brother, Laxman. Shurpnakha says he is also handsome, he has no woman along, can I give him a marriage proposal. Ram says you are free to propose him, its his decision to say yes or no. Shurpnakha goes to Laxman and smiles.
She asks Laxman to accept her as his wife. She says I will give you much love. Laxman says your love is strange, you were proposing Ram some time back and now you came to me. She says your brother is a fool, you look practical. He says you are Raavan’s sister, I m Ram’s servant, you have to serve Ram and Sita day and night if you marry me, you can’t do this, you ask Ram, not me.
Shurpnakha says you both are playing a game with my feelings, why Ram. Ram says your feelings are wrong, when your husband was alive and if a man came to compel you for marriage, would you find it lawful, same situation is mine, relation is made with love, not with desires of snatching, I can’t love anyone else than my Sita. She says you are leaving me because of Sita, she is an ordinary woman, she will get old, she will lose her beauty, I will always be beautiful and young. Ram says love is related with the soul, not the body, my soul loves Sita. She says Sita is the problem, so you rejected my proposal, I will end this problem, I will kill Sita, no promise can stop you from becoming mine. She gets angry and comes to her real avatar. Laxman gets his sword and shouts. He cuts Shurpnakha’s nose. Sita asks Laxman not to kill a woman. Shurpnakha screams. Laxman scolds her. She cries and runs away.
Sita says this wasn’t right, a woman’s respect was attacked, we have to pay a price for this. Laxman says Guru Vishwamitra also told, whoever crosses Dharm and becomes a reason for troubling others, he should get punished. Ram says Laxman did that to save your life, Shurpnakha paid the price of her deeds. She says Raavan’s sister got attacked, the entire devil clan will get against you. Ram says we will face it, we can’t leave the path of Dharm. She nods.
