Scene 1

Helena meets with her secret army hiding in red cloaks and says you people made me stronger and have power in Magadh but one person is threatening that, go and keep an eye on Ashok. They all nod and leaves.

Subhandu orders Ashok to send out invitations but Ashok says your words are irritating me. Subhandu says you have to listen to me as your father doesn’t care about me. Ashok says when I become a king then you will be cry a lot.

Kaurwaki comes to Devi and says I want you to open your eyes and not marry that Ashok, he is evil. Devi says you are wrong about him and don’t know the truth, you should rest, she leaves. Kaurwaki says I hate that Ashok because of his affair with Uma and she died because of him. Bhadrak comes to her and says Chaitraj wants to meet her so she goes with him. Helena’s soldier hears all that and says Kaurwaki hates him because he had an affair with some girl there? This is good. He tells it to Helena and she asks him to keep an eye on her, Kaurwaki might be the key for us.

Kaurwaki comes to meet with Chaitraj, Bhadrak leaves her. Chaitraj says I want to see if you can be my queen. He makes his servants take her measurements and evilly eyes her up and down. He says you are pretty but you look sad. You have to look pretty to give birth to my future heirs.

Kaurwaki is angry after meeting with Chaitraj, she runs to her room and cries. She says I was insulted so much. Her little brother asks what happened? do you not like your groom? she says I have to choose him for Magadh. He says if he is not nice then don’t marry him, I will find another groom for you. Kaurwaki says you are a child so don’t worry about anything. Her brother leaves from there. Ashok is passing by her tent and finds some pearls outside, he asks whose is it? Kaurwaki says who is outside? Ashok makes up a voice and says I was just a servant. He teases her and tells her to keep her doors locked as she is pretty, Kaurwaki laughs and thanks him for making her laugh. Ashok leaves. Kaurwaki’s brother meets with Ashok and says I am looking for a good groom for my sister, I want a good-looking and strong groom for her. Ashok says I am very strong. Her brother says you are nice, can you take care of her? Ashok says yes. Bhadrak comes there so he leaves.

Kaurwaki’s little brother comes to her and says I have found your groom, come with me. Outside their tent, Ashok taunts Bhadrak for losing the competition. Bhadrak tries punching him but falls down. Ashok says you might not have the wealth to eat food in Kaling so you can eat here all you want. Kaurwaki comes there and says shut up.. Kaling is filled with hope and bravery, even Chandragupta couldn’t win it, we are powerful and we will never bow down to Magadh till we are alive so get lost from here. Ashok says wow.. you give good speeches but your brother is useless. Bhadrak tries punching him again but Ashok pushes him away and tells Kaurwaki that he can be her groom too. Kaurwaki says never, he smiles and leaves.

Devi’s father arrives in the palace, Bindusar welcomes him. Ashok comes there with Dharma. Dharma tells Ashok that you forcefully got this honour for us, it won’t be good for long. Helena welcomes Dharma and says I missed you so much. Devi arrives there and hugs her father. Ashok greets her. Sushim is angry seeing that and tells Dayana that Helena is welcoming them to nicely. Dayana says when she is angry then she is extra sweet. Kaurwaki arrives there and glares at Ashok.

Bindusar meets with Chaitraj and welcomes him. Chaitraj says I wanted to be part of your happiness and also announce my wedding. He announces in the palace that he is going to marry Kaurwaki. Ashok is shocked hearing that.
