The episode starts with Dayal asking Panditji to take his grandson from there. Atal says he will go from here, but Dayal is not getting a suit stitched for himself, but cutting their culture and disrespecting it. Panditji takes Atal from there. Dayal asks tailor to stich a perfect suit for him which he will wear during school’s annual day function and look like Britishers. Panditji asks Atal why he interfered in Dayal’s issue. Atal says if he doesn’t stop Dayal, he will wear suit for the school’s function which will encourage Britishers to humiliate them more and show their power on them. Krishna gives him moral gyaan giving an example of lord Mahaveer who spent life gaining knowledge and enlightening himself while people like Dayal are ignorant and don’t want to accept truth. Atal says even he will become like lord Mahaveer.
Atal then stitches his sister’s slipper joking with her. Family asks how did he learn mending slippers. He goes into flashback where he watches cobbler mending footwear, telling cobbler that he learnt mending footwear by watching him, he wants to mend his sister’s slipper but doesn’t have money, his father has gone to borrow money from his friends and doesn’t know if he will get money or not, he just needs some thread. Cobbler gives him some thread. Krishna Vajpayee returns home and informs family that Atal is representing Hindi medium in school’s annual day function. Everyone congratulate him.
At night, Krishna maa offers flower bouquet to Atal and informs him that a revolutionary group sent it for him impressed by his patriotism. She says she is impressed with the way he confronted Dayal and even she wants to gift him 2 bouquets for his patriotic nature and bravery, but doesn’t have money. Atal says she can kiss his forehead twice instead. She asks what is he going to do during annual day function. He says he will recite a poem. She says he can write a poem and get it corrected by his father. Krishna Vajpayee hears their conversation and feels proud of Atal, he thinks Atal will become a poet like him.
Krishna maa then asks children to go to sleep and asks Krishna why is he still awake. Krishna expresses his helplessness of unable to support his family and says he will do some labor work after school to earn money and support his family. Krishna maa comforts him and asks him not to feel sad, these days will also pass soon. Next morning, Krishna Vajpayee asks Krishna maa about Atal. She says Atal is writing poem while Sada and Prem are watching him writing poem. Atal finishes poem and shows it to his father for correction. Krishna corrects his poem while sipping tea.
Precap: Krishna Vajpayee notices Atal working in a shop and takes him home. Atal tells Krishna maa that he wanted to earn money to support family. Krishna Vajpayee asks why did he write a poem and disrespected art bt ‘]then lost the paper, if he really loves poems, then he shouldn’t write them..
