Scene 1
It all turns out to be Pari’s dream and she is still taking pheras with Rajiv. Biji asks her to continue. Pari sees coal and deliberately steps on it. She falls down and screams that my foot is burned. Rajiv rushes to her and checks it. Pami thinks she deliberately did it to leave her right to take pheras with Rajiv. Neeti rushes to her and asks Pari what happened? Rajiv applies an ointment on her foot. A guest says he is a caring husband, Neeti is confused and says I will apply it. Rajiv says I am doing it, its fine. Biji whispers to Pami that their love is spreading. Gurvinder says we can continue rituals Pari now, she must have an evil cast on her. Neeti’s mother comes there and asks Pari if she is okay? she nods. Neeti’s mother asks where is her husband? Pari’s mother tells Rajiv to not be shy, you are her and my son-in-law, Neeti is like my daughter so her son-in-law is my son-in-law and my son-in-law is her son-in-law. Neeti smiles upon hearing that.
Gurvinder comes to Neeti and says you should take pheras with Sanju. She says we can’t do that in front of Biji. Gurvinder says its your first lohri and you deserve to take pheras with your husband and get blessings for your baby. You are his wife so you should make him agree to it. These pheras are important for your marriage and your baby. Neeti nods and leaves. Gurvinder says I just want Pari gone from this house.
Rajiv is looking around for Pari and asks Monty about her. Monty teases him. Rajiv sees Pari standing alone in the corner, he goes to her and asks if she is okay? she nods. Rajiv says how did you get hurt? Pari says I don’t know but I just was thinking that I can’t insult this ritual and Neeti by taking pheras with you. Rajiv says I am in trouble, Neeti is stubborn about taking pheras, please talk her out of it. Pari says she has a right to take pheras with you. Rajiv says what will I do then? Pari says its her right and its good for baby too, I will take Biji and mummy away so you both can take pheras. Rajiv thanks her. Pari thinks I am doing this for my love and for my best friend. Rajiv thinks its her first lohri, I am giving her right to Neeti but I have no regret about that.
Pari comes to Biji and looks at Neeti. She says its too cold today, Biji says I am okay. Pari says you should come inside with me for some time. Biji says I am totally okay, I want to enjoy and dance. Rajiv comes there and tells Pari to not bother her, he says it is cold though, you should go and at least wear a jacket. Biji nods and goes with Pari. Rajiv thinks to take pheras with Neeti. Biji is going inside but Simi stops them, she says lets have fun. Biji says I will go and wear a jacket as Pari wants me to, she goes with her. Babli comes to Simi and argues with her. Pami comes there and asks Simi to not misbehave with her, she takes her from there.
Pari calls her mother and asks if she can come inside to help her arrange some food items? She says okay, I am coming. Pari calls Rajiv and says I have called them both inside so you can take pheras with Neeti, he thanks her. Rajiv comes to Neeti and says lets pheras, we have sent Biji in the house for some time. He asks Gurvinder to keep an eye if Biji comes out while they are taking pheras. Gurvinder nods and asks them to take pheras. Pami tells her husband that Pari must have taken Biji inside the house. Rajiv and Neeti start taking pheras while Pari sadly looks at them from the window.
