Rishi’s father acts angry and confronts Saroj for humiliating his family via his sons. Saroj pleads to forgive her family. Father threatens to cancel Rishi and Kusum’s wedding. Rishi says its not Kusum’s mistake if her brother misbehaved with them, he truly loves Kusum and already considers her as his wife. Vaishali silently walks away. Kanha stops her and says he knows that Rishi must have threatened her, but she need not worry as he will protect her; she should return in and reveal truth. Vaishali says truth is whatever she told inside and asks him to never meet her again.
Kahna returns and finds pheras already finished. He walks to her room fuming and feels helpless for not saving Kusum from Rishi. Sayuri tries to calm him down. Saroj calls them and asks Kanha to touch Kusum and Rishi’s feet. Kanha hesitates. She gets adamant. He holds Kusum’s hands and apologizes her for not protecting her. Sayuri also apologizes Kusum for not protecting her. Kanha warns Rishi to dare not let any tears in his sister’s eyes or else he will not spare Rishi. He touches Rishi’s feet and then performs Kusum’s bidayi/farewell. Kusum throws rice as per ritual. Kanha holds it and takes oath to protect Kusum. Sayuri with Nakul returns and asks what is in his hand. Kanha says its a promise to himself to make sure Kusum is safe. They support him.
Rishi parties with his friends. Friends asks why is he drinking on his wedding night. Rishi says Kusum is not beautiful and he married her just for her money and treat her as slave. Kanha and Nakul hear him hiding and get angry. Rishi slips on a carpet and injuries himself. He notices Kanha and Nakul and thinks they harmed him and he would punish their sister now. Kusum thinks she got herself into this mess and should either accept her fate or find a way get out of it. Kanha and Nakul think karma hit Rishi.
Sayuri talks to her baby that everything will be alright soon. Kamnha returns and fumes describing how Rishi was badmouthing about Kusum. Sayuri calls Kusum. Kusum disconnects call seeing Rishi walking in. Sayuri disconnects call. Rishi orders Kusum to pick call and tell them that Rishi is tired and slept off, even she is going to sleep. Kusum unable to bear alcohol stink from his mouth tries to avoid him. She picks Sayuri’s call and tells she is fine, Rishi is sleep as he is tired, she is going for some postwedding ritual and will call him tomorrow. Rishi praises her and gets romantic with her. Sayuri tells Kanha that she feels Rishi was nearby and forced Kusum to say that.
Precap: Kanha requests Rishi to let Kusum stay back if she is injured. Rishi says even he will stay back with Kusum. He tries to touch Rashmi inappropriately. Sayuri notices that and pushes Rashmi aside.
