The episode begins with Sethji telling Bala’s wife, Rama, and Lakshmi about the job. They were supposed separate stones from dirt. Sethji asked them to do this in 3 days. Rama and others were ready to do it.

Bhim Rao was sorting the tore pieces of Jijabai’s letter. Bala questioned. Bhim Rao told that he was finding a way. Bala said that it won’t help. Bhim Rao should take help from Bala; he knew men in British government. Bhim Rao knew that Bala conditioned it to him letting Bala’s wife go with him. Bhim Rao denied taking help, he didn’t want to close the case. Bala asked when will Rama return. Bhim Rao didn’t know, will return when the work finishes. Bala questioned. He went to see them.

Lakshmi and Rama were working hard. Lakshmi talked about how the rich made them do the odd jobs just for money. Bala’s wife agreed with Lakshmi. Rama said that everyone has a reason, once they learn to accept their life, they will learn to be happy. Lakshmi asked Bala’s wife to stay with them, Rama lecture will help with become happy. They dumped the sorted dirt; Bala’s wife couldn’t breathe because of it. She started coughing then fainted. Lakshmi and Rama wanted to take her home, Their Sethji refused to grant them a leave. Rama and Lakshmi argued but Sethji wanted the work done. Bala came, he found his wife unconscious. He questioned. Rama asked him and Lakshmi to take her home, she will complete talk to Sethji. Rama told that she would pay the debt if they didn’t complete work by tomorrow. Sethji accepted, he gave her a day’s time or else they would have to work free for him for an entire month.

Bala brought his wife home; he called Bhim Rao. Everyone gathered. Lakshmi brought a doctor who after examining Bala’s wife told that she was in critical condition.

Rama agreed to Sethji’s terms. The man wanted Rama to sign a written agreement. Rama offered to write it for him. Sehtji was shocked to know that. Rama told that she was Bhim Rao’s wife. Rama wrote the paper and went.

Doctor told that she might be allergic to dirt. Ramji asked if it was curable. Doctor wrote a medicine for her; in case she doesn’t get better they’ll need to admit her in hospital. Bala was at verge for crying. Hitesh made fun of Bala being emotional. Meera asked Doctor to give the medicine. Rama worried about her agreement. Lakshmi was asked to take care of the patient. Rama asked everyone to take her inside, Meera should make her herbal medicine as well. Bala refused, he wanted to take his wife with him. Ramji asked Lakshmi to prepare the medicine, Bala will not stop ranting. Bala questioned Bhim Rao, he told that his wife can not bare heavy work. Bhim Rao will not accept his mistake. Joku and Janardan taunted Bhim Rao for being unconditional. The chawl members burst into an argument with each other regarding Bhim Rao’s character. Hitesh silenced everyone, asked them to look at the fact. Bhim Rao was using his sister-in-law to fight a battle with his brother. Rama had enough, she didn’t want anyone to taunt her husband. Rama asked Bala to take his wife with him once she gains conscious. Bhim Rao will not stop him, to which Bhim Rao questioned. He can not let go of his values for other people’s words. This was a battle on how men should treat their wives. Bala was angry. Rama took Bhim Rao inside. Ramji questioned Bala for his bad behavior. Bala asked Ramji to let him take his wife with him.

Bhim Rao questioned Rama for dragging him away from every situation. Rama asked Bhim Rao to let Bala’s wife go. It was her fight; she needs to fight it on her own. It was hers to prove her value to Bala not anyone else. They will support her but not fight on her behalf. Meera and Ramji heard their conversation.
