The episode begins with the king announcing that the test will be held for three consecutive days starting from tomorrow. everyone hailed The King. They left afterwards. Varchand was asked to take his bribe back because he only accepts love.

Hitesh and his friends were keen on their believe that Bhim Rao won’t get the help from a King. Jijabai wanted to leave, said that she wants Bhim Rao to lose as well. Guruji and Bhim Rao came in. Guruji said that children having father like Ramji will be lucky. Bhim Rao would compete with a guy name Nikunj to select the worthy candidate. Hitesh was assured that Bhim Rao would lose. They wanted him to lose. Rama asked them to wait for the result because Bhim Rao would surely win. Daliya asked Hitesh to take his drums and musical instruments away. Rama took Bhim Rao inside.

At night Bhim Rao studied underneath the streetlamp. Ramji asked if Bhim Rao was afraid. Bhim Rao wasn’t afraid of losing but the last day of this assessments was also the last day of submitting college fee. Ramji asked Bhim Rao to fight for his win not to defeat someone. Bhim Rao must decide his fate and work for his future.

Varchand gave Nikunj special king of almonds to help his memory. Varchand was more eager to see Bhim Rao fail than Nikunj’s win. Nikunj himself wanted the lower caste Bhim Rao to taste defeat.

Next morning, Daliya amma and others wanted to accompany Bhim Rao to boost his moral. Joku mocked, said that they should accompany Bhim Rao to lower his confidence. Ramji came to Bhim Rao said that they will all go together. Meera agreed, it would give Bhim Rao support. Jijabai mocked Bhim Rao. Anand was not well to accompany Bhim Rao, he and Lakshmi stayed behind giving Bhim Rao well wishes.

Varchand had gathered his neighbors, informed them about the competition between Bhim Rao and Nikunj. They left towards the castle gathering more upper caste in their support. Varchand’s wife stayed behind praying win for the wiser one.

At the castle, King asked his men to place oil lamps in front of Bhim Rao and Nikunj. Hitesh was curious to know the purpose. The men than brought a Mashal through which oil lamps were to be lighted up. Nikunj was asked to start first, Bhim Rao would proceed after him.

Nikunj started lighting the lamps, few of the lamps at the corner of the tray fell down. After Nikunj finished his task Bhim Rao was called to light his lamps. Bhim Rao was successful in lighting every lamp, while doing so he remembered Ramji saying that the best one always does their tasks with love and care.

Anand was coughing miserably; Lakshmi gave him water. She wanted to take him to the doctor, but he refused.

Bhim Rao lighted one of the lamp and with that lighted all the others.

Anand and Bhim Rao were at the doctor’s, he told Anand that he was suffering a horrible disease which needed urgent treatment. He asked Lakshmi to submit the fee at the counter and admit Anand to the hospital. Lakshmi wondered how to arrange the money. Anand said that it was necessary for him to leave the city otherwise he would divert everyone’s attention towards him. Lakshmi suggested that they should go to his in laws, there they would treat Anand as well. They decided to leave before Bhim Rao’s return.
The king asked Bhim Rao why he lighted the lamps not using the Mashal. Bhim Rao explained, that for him light on one lamp illuminated all the others. Varchand requested the King to let Nikunj explain his perspective. For Nikunj the Mashal was like a teacher whereas the lamps acted as its students. The lams which were worthy of the light illumined while the rest broke down. Bhim Rao argued back, said that this perspective needed to be changed. For Bhim Rao every lamp must be lighted up.
