Banta tells the worker to take it carefully. It is quite expensive. Salim is waiting outside Khandoba temple. His cousin brother (Rashid) reaches there just then. Salim and Rashid hug. Santa and Banta look on. Salim looks at Rashid. You look like a foreigner. Rashid jokes along. Salim picks up his bag. He is about to pick a big box wrapped with a ribbon when Rashid offers to pick it for him. Salim asks him about it. Rashid says that’s how gifts are given in London. Salim is curious to know what’s inside but Rashid tells him tow ait. We will open it front of Bhabhi and Ali. They head to Salim’s place.
Santa and Banta decide to inform Sarkar about the gift. It should not ruin his image!
People look at Rashid curiously as he walks with Salim holding the big box. Sai greets Salim on the way. Salim introduces Rashid to Sai. Rashid tells his brother that he knows Him. You wrote about Him in every letter. Even Sultan Bhai was talking about Him. Rashid and Sai greet each other. Kakasaheb asks Salim to make 150 blankets for donation. Salim agrees but gets tensed when he hears about the deadline. Salim is hesitant but agrees. Kakasaheb gives him advance. Salim notices Sai looking at the box and takes Sai’s leave. He wonders what could be inside. Even Sai was looking at it carefully. I cannot wait anymore. Kakasaheb asks Sai what the rush in making blankets. We could have gotten them even 4 days after Diwali. Salim seemed hesitant. Sai says we don’t sway when we have a responsibility. That’s what I tried to do.
Santa and Banta inform Sarkar about the gift from London. What if it so grand that villagers wont look at the lighting at your house on Diwali? Sarkar hits them. Rashid will still be working in London as a servant. How can he match my status? Irrespective of the number of gifts no one in Shirdi can match my status! He sends them away. It must be sweets. They are talking as if it is something special! He pushes the idea out of his mind.
Rashid relishes the food made by Rihana. Rashid notices Salim staring at the gift. He teases his brother and then tells Ali to see his gift. Your father wont be at peace till then. Ali keeps the box in front of them. Rashid tells Salim to open it. Salim opens it excitedly and smile widely. Ali and Rihana are equally happy to see the gramophone. Ali points out that Sarkar / Keshav had one too. He looks at the CDs inside and smiles. Salim is touched. My own gramophone!
Sai says we must value the love with which someone gives us a gift. No gift is greater than love! Allah Maalik!
Salim caresses the gramophone. Rihana tells Rashid they cannot accept such an expensive gift from you. Rashid asks her why not. Am I not a part of your family? Salim’s Abbu had raised me after my parents passed away. I can do this much for my family as I have become successful today. Please do not reject it if you consider me your own. Salim accepts the gift. How do we play it? Rashid gives them a demo. Everyone smiles. Neighbours hear the sound and gather outside Salim’s house. Santa and Banta happen to be passing by from there and hear the music too. They peek inside Salim’s house and are taken aback to see the gramophone.
Rashid tells Salim to get used to this kind of crowd. This will continue. You will become a famous person now. Enjoy the music and see me off. Salim asks him where is he off to. Rashid shares that he has to go to Sakori to meet his mausi and then back to Bombay. Rihana requests him to stay for a day at least but Rashid assures him that they will keep visiting each other now that he is back. Salim offers to see him off but Rashid says Ali will. Salim and Rashid hug and then Rashid leaves with Ali.
Salim invites everyone to come inside and listen to the music. They thank him as they enter.
Servant is cleaning gramophone. Sarkar tells him to be careful. It is a delicate thing. Santa asks him why he wont throw away the old instrument. Sarkar slaps him for talking without thinking. I will throw you away instead! Such things hint at your prosperity and growth. Banta shares that Salim just received gramophone as a gift. Sarkar asks them why he dint tell him earlier. Santa says we did tell you but you were sure that it will be an ordinary thing. You have it since years so we thought that it wont be special. Sarkar nods to cover it up. Santa says villagers don’t know anything. They gathered outside Salim’s house to hear the music. They too will get bored soon like you. Sarkar asks them if there were many people. Santa nods. They are fools. They were even comparing you with Salim. Sarkar thinks that the thing that only belonged to him is also with an ordinary person. Keep an eye on his house. They are confused. Sarkar says I am not worried because of Salim but he is Sai’s devotee. I wont let him use that gift to overshadow my decor on Diwali. Santa asks him what if that happens. Sarkar says I wont take time to destroy it then.
Precap: Sai asks Srikanth if everyone has given their share. Srikanth shares that everyone except Salim has donate. Sai remarks that nothing will be cooked until Salim gives his share. He asks Tatya to bring His chakki.
