Malini gets ready for college. Sunny requests her to stay back as they still have school holidays. Tinkle says Chachi teaches in college and not school. Rupal asks Malini why she is resuming teaching so soon after marriage. Malini says she took many leaves already and her student’s exams are nearing. Sunny and Tinkle insist, and she agrees. They run away happily. Aditya calls Malini and inform that his editor send Satyakam’s news for national press award and he won it. Malini says she is very happy for him, she will come to him and they will celebrate. He says he will return home in the evening and celebrate with whole family. Editor calls him, and he says he will speak to her later. She says she is eagerly waiting for him and informs family about it. Aparna says Malini is lucky for Aditya, Taiji backs her. Malini asks not to give Adi’s hard work’s credit to her and says she will decorate house for Adi’s welcome and will prepare something for him. Nidhi and Rupal taunt Malini that she should go to college and attend students. Malini complains Aparna, and Aparna also jokes. Imlie enters and warns them to dare not taunt Malini didi. Malini says so cute, she should continue. Imlie sees Tauji preparing boquet for Adi and feels sad that she cannot gift him anything. Tauji cheers her up.
Editor presents award to Adi and tells team that it cannot be bought and given to a journalist who cannot be bought. Adi gives credit to his wife who didn’t complain when editor canceled his honeymoon to cover Satyakam’s story and family who supported him always. He then remembers Imlie, her nok jhok, and her support and says a few people support in the background and fill colors even in black and white papers. He continues his speech.
At home, family waits for Aditya with cake. Imlie stands aside reminiscing Adi’s words not to come in front of her. Aparna calls him, she thinks she will stay in her room and give him gift when he is alone. Adi rings bell. Tauji asks everyone to hide. Sundar also hides. Tauji scolds him to open the door. Sundar opens door and welcomes Adi in. Adi gets Meethi’s call who requests him to let her speak to Imlie. He walks towards Imlie’s room. Malini with family eagerly waits for him and when he doesn’t come walks out to check. She offers him going towards Imlie’s room. Adi gives phone to Imlie, and Imlie emotionally speaks to Mithi and asks about Satyakam. Mithi says he is safe and asks her to keep Savitri vrat/fast for her husband’s long life. She disconnects call and seeing Adi alone gifts him Satyakam’s given 1 rs shagun, describing Satyakam’s words. He asks her to keep it herself as Satyakam gave her with love. She says dadda wants her to study well and become something, etc. He asks if she would like to hold his award. She happily agrees and holds it with him.
Malini enters and stands heartbroken seeing that. Family joins her and asks why did he come here instead of meeting them, they all wanted to celebrate his success. Malini walks to her room weeping. Aparna asks him to go Malini. He walks to Malini and sees cake and decoration and Malini crying. Malini says she wanted to hold his trophy first, but he didn’t give her that opportunity. He he wanted to meet her first, but Imlie’s mother called him and requested to speak to Imlie, so he went to her. Malini says she thinks he doesn’t understand her at all and must be thinking she does drama; his dream was also her dream and she also sacrificed many years and sleepless nights with him, its equally important to her like him, but he doesn’t understand that. He says she is also important than award and knows what she is feeling, she should hold it and forgive him, he will try to become a husband she likes. Imlie enters and mimicking a cock as punishment apologizes Malini for ruining her hard work. Malini asks not to do that as she didn’t do anything and asks her to come in. Imlie asks them both to come down as everyone are waiting. Malini gifts Adi silver coin as a good shagun and wishes him all the best for his career. He asks her to go as he will freshen up and join them. Malini leaves with Imlie. Adi looking at both coins thinks whatever happened was not good as Malini is hurt, doesn’t know if its good shaun or bad.
